I thought of another one. When I started ToT, I figured it would be normal HM stuff, I'd plant some things, etc. So when I got my house I started to clear my field and since I didn't have a sickle yet I just pulled weeds. I didn't realize that depleted stamina so I was like "Huh? " when my character could barely move.

The only thing I planted in my first year was an orange tree because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough energy to tend to crops! i survived that year by doing tons of part-time work, fishing, and a little mining... seems like such a stupid mistake now. there's SO many things I'm doing differently when I start my new file.

in MFOMT I killed my first chicken. -.-
And I accidentally stood Julius up like, twice! I couldnt find Alans Tree! I had to restart the game day a billion times xD
I couldnt figure out how to get the Blue Feather. I was like like: "Why isnt it showing up?"
I didnt know how to open my map in ToT until my sister started and I read the introductions, then I was so relieved you have no idea.
I was confused about seeds so I just didnt plant for like.....two seasons. It was bad.

In ToT I got the town plot, and started pulling weeds to plan some stuff. It wasn't until I tried to till the soil that I realized I had tilled the hilltop plot, and it took me another day to find the town plot... Even though it's right outside my house. >.<

I felt quite stupid after pulling that little stunt.

In ToT, I forgot it was a 1x6 or 6x1 one so I just tilled 3 squares (as much as I could do) and plated it without realizing I had a half a bag wasted.

In ToT, I was watching my bro play for the first time, he tried planting crops in 3x3. Later, he discovered it was 6x1/1x6. I laughed at him and was glad it wasn' me.

Oh yes. Early HM mistakes.

The very first game I got was STH. Oh, the problems of STH...

- I would inevitably fail to save the village. It was mainly because I befriended everyone a little, and no one enough. And I failed at their obvious hints. Lyla: "Wow! You should plant that seed in a special spot." Me: *wonders why it won't grow on the farm*
- I killed off my chickens for putting food in the wrong bin. Cause, you know, they could only eat out of the one with their name on it. I was all, "They're dying even when I feed them everyday?!"
- When working part-time for Bob, I thought you had to do everything he asked. As in, care for all the horses, fill all the bins, then lounge around until he threw me out. XD

The other highlights of this game includes me befriending Kurt in every file and nearly sabotaging my chances at any other ending. I did this with Louis, too. ("No Louis, I do not want to play the goddamn flute! I've got a weasel to save!") Uh, yeah. I fail.

In SNES, it never occurred to me that the north "wall" of the chicken coop was actually the "feeding bin". I manually ran up to my chickens and threw the food at them, assuming that they were fed.

I spend the entire duration of the game wondering why those stupid chickens wont lay any eggs.

I only figured out about the feeding bins roughly...2 years later (ACTUAL years. Not in game years) when I picked the game up again.

I still facepalm to this day.

In BtN, me and my cousin finally upgraded the Watering Can for the first time. Took us about a (real) week to figure out how to charge the blasted thing. Since it was his game he was able to tinker with the controls to find out. I searched an FAQ back at my house.

The time we met up was lol.

"Hey I figured out how to work the watering can"
"Me too! I was about to tell you!"

...haaaa...good times.

I didn't relies I could charge tools in MM till my third in game year. I just spent all day watering each crop one by one until one day I held down the button...I felt really dumb after that.

In TOT I wondered why my apple tree wouldn't grow when I didn't water it.

In DS Cute I couldn't figure out how to unstack items for the longest time.

And in ANWL I didn't know I had to get married by the end of the first year.

I did the same thing in FoMT. Sometimes I would give really nice, expensive gifts after giving a different one. It frustrated me because it seemed like I gave them hundreds of gifts (which I probably did) and their heart level never changed.

So, I was probably VERY good FRIENDS with my wife when we married.

Also, when I first started playing FoMT, I gave Ann blue herbs because her reaction made me think she liked it...

-In my first HM, I went around giving everyone weeds, because I thought they were flowers.

-In AWL, I thought the fruit trees would grow up to be like the tree out in the pasture, so I only planted one. For a long time I had no idea what was going on with my apple tree until I read the guide.

-When I first played DS Cute, I couldn't figure out how to unstack the items.

-For a long time, I didn't know how to charge my tools.

-I stood Gill up on the firefly festival in TOT because I forgot where Caramel Falls was.
