1) Be able to go to different towns
2) Be able to have more than one kid.
3) Can live in the differnet towns
4) Can be able to buy a car,submarine, horse carriage(so the horse can pull you around)etc.
5) You and your husband/wife can sleep in the same bed
6) Have a petshop where you can buy pets
7) Have Gotz build something where you can create/breed animals then sell them to the petshop or keep them.
Get more hearts on the animals faster.
9) For the wedding get to choose what wedding dress/tux you want, where you would have the wedding, choose who to invite to the wedding, have a honeymoon etc.
10) Can go on cruises, planes, and trains to the different towns.
11) Less glitches
12) Be able to get mail (in cute)
13) Can file for a divorce
14) Be able to send mail(like to ask someone in a different town if they want to come to the starry night festival)
15) Buy land
16) Sell houses
17) Buy houses
18) Sell land
19) Can have a two-story house
20) People are smarter(kind of like Animal Crossing except smarter)
21) kids go to school.
22) Get to take care of the kids when babies
23) Depending on the kid can get detention, get Fs etc.
24) Buy more stuff for your house/houses.
25) Have a bank where you can get loans, give deposites ec.
26) Have bills
27) look for other jobs
28) go to collage and graduate school
29) Kids can ask other kids out
30) vote 4 a president, mayor etc. (you can run too)

The game would be so complicated, and you would have so many things to remember if the game were like that.
If the game were like that it would feel a lot like real life.
Can't you already do some of those things on that list?

That didn't have to give them gifts to raise their affections, but if you did give them something they'd be polite about it - whatever you gave them.
