i think that HM works better as a simulation game than as a movie/TV show/comic/etc. the joy of HM is getting to do all these things, and by making a TV show out of a very thin and weak plot (especially in BTN) and by having a set storyline, it would not work very well at all.

I don't think any Harvest Moon (excluding Rune Factory) would make a good anime at all. I'd rather stick to just playing the game. Also, I don't think making a life about farming would do well with views.

Whenever I have to explain what Harvest Moon is to someone, and it happens a lot actually o__o, they usually just get confused and stare and ask how farming can be fun and all. Or they just roll their eyes and go off on how they don't think they could ever do something so -boring-.
I find it therapeutic, personally. u___u

Considering that I don't watch anime except for the rarities that I can actually tolerate, I don't think any HM game would be a great anime.
Plus, voices are usually horrendous. xD

Yeah, I imagine since many people think that playing the game would be boring, they certainly wouldn't want to watch it.

I probably wouldn't touch it, but I don't like anime (except like, one series and a movie), so I would really, really have to like something to watch an anime of it. Of course, I love HM, but I don't want to watch some guy farm and pimp the ladies. I'd much rather do that myself.

I wouldn't mind if there were HM OVAs made, like a few little 10-15 minute shorts... but an ongoing TV series would most likely fail.

It initially seems like a good idea initially, but then you have to take into account that you would have to satiate all the viewer's demands for the games--hell, there's a really easy one that comes to mind. Just for DS Cute, there are so many different couple combinations that include the main character's design (such as the difference between JillxSkye and ClairexSkye) that someone in the audience is bound to be upset. : \

And it's troubling even explaining to people how a farming game is interesting. Just like trying to explain how "Cooking Mama" is fun...it just is...but people don't get it.

The only harvest moon game that could make a great anime is Rune Factory... I mean, the game already has an anime opening and everything! XD

I've always wondered if any Harvest Moon game would make it to the big screen...or at least a tv show, and then it'd get so popular that it would be done (terribly, of course u_u) in English. & I'll find myself searching youtube to watch the Japanese versions with subtitles. ^^;

Rune Factory looks like it's already an anime, and it probably has the best plot to become one.
