The Crimson Bridge, chapter 1

Author's note : If in the first one, the name of the boy was Daerick, scrap that,
his name is Sanat, I realized that Daerick wasn't such a good name after all.

	Ark, suprised to see that his own offspring would be the foreordained, but
there was still a problem, which one of them? He guessed that in time he would
know. You see, time is not the essence, and both of them were ready to face the
real world. Only, Ark and Elle did not think so, well, not for Sanat at least. 
He seemed so distant, if you didn't know him, you would say he was an orphan. At 
the end of the week, Ark finally thought about this idea. "Maybe there isn't one 
foreordained, there may be two of them, and those two are my children, but they 
aren't ready to face the world yet". Elle, who didn't know about this, asked herself 
what could preoccupy Ark that he wouldn't sleep, take time off and talk about stuff. 
As they used to do when kids, when Ark finished his journey, when everything was all 
right. Just stuff, nothing else. They seemed like the perfect little couple, made 
for each other. Like a fairy tale, like fate. She asked him to go to their special 
place in the world. Later, in the middle of the night. "Dear, what is troubling you?, 
I know something troubles you. You've been acting strange lately." "Well, you know 
that the Elder passed away..." "Yes, but what does that have to do with this?" 
"Someday, a stranger asked him to keep a pendant that should be kept until the 
Foreordained arrived. Since he died, he gave it to me, but I just found out that..." 
"What? you don't mean that you are the one and we'll be apart again?" "No, it's not 
that, the 2 are our children, and needs must be that I let them part..." "No, they 
cannot! They aren't strong and mature enough, and you must not accompany them, I 
would not bear being away from you! Understand?" "I know, I know, but, their destiny 
calls. And we must now be forced to live without them, and they to continue on with 
their lives. Their adventure awaits..." "Ark, please, stop this madness. You know 
they will not survive in the wilderness, please, at least wait another year. Give 
them time to adapt, they will be a long time without the ones they love. I'm not 
going to ask you twice, please do as I say..." And they kissed...

	Well, the two children didn't understand what this was all about, but they 
did overhear the conversation. Sanat said "Gee, I hope that he is wrong, I don't want 
to leave and lose this village..." Kashia replyed "We are ready, they just don't 
know it yet, we'll have to show them" "But I'm not, I don't want to leave. This is my 
home, and it always shall be.". 

They all went to bed...


	Later this morning, they all waked up, did their original buisness, until...
"Dad, we heard you talking to mom last night, what was this all about?", "yeah, we 
want to know" said Daerick, not quite sure of himself. Ark replyed "Twas... nothing...". 
"We really want to know, we know it's not a small thing, you've been worrying on it
since you have that thing, so please hand it over, we want to see it!" "Fork it
over!". Ark said "Ok, I will tell you, but promise me that you won't do it for now"
Ark tells them the story, and what has happened so far. "Unbelievable!, who would 
think that we are destined to be something important in the course of time." "Yeah, 
but you won't let us go". Ark said "You aren't ready, and you won't be if you rush 
headlong, like I did in my days". After this argument, they went to their normal 
business. Kashia training, Sanat...well, nobody knew what he did, only him, the 
trees and the animals. He liked very much music, and had some talent in it. He just 
didn't want people to know. At night, the children knew what they have to do, they 
snuck up in Ark's room. Opened the chest where the pendant was, and took it. They 
fleed to the hole...

	They went to hole (as I just said), and found it open, just like it was. But 
something was changed... It was glowing red, like blood. And some screams made 
themselves heard..."Heeeeeeeelp me..." "Heeeeeelp me..." "Who is this?", Kashia said. 
Nobody answered..."It's kinda freaky, you know...". "Tell me about it". "Should we 
jump?" "Well, yes, because we will be found if we do not"

And so they jumped...but they did not know how much trouble they were in...


Final note : You see, the next chapters will be released in a pair, one from Kashia's 
point of view the other one from Sanat's. Well, if you enjoyed this, tell me about
