3oT week 3, Boku Cafe, and Chicken Hatching | Posted at 05:14 PM 15 July 2016
Happy Farm'n Friday! In Japan, Media Create has calculated that Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns has sold another 30,000 physical retail copies last week, putting it at about 160,000 games sold. Media Create doesn't track digital sales though. The Bokujou Monogatari theme for Cafe Hikariya in Tokyo launched this week. Famitsu was on hand for the opening on Wednesday along with Producer Hashimoto. The cafe walls are decorated with Bokumono memorabilia and boxes, while greenery hangs from the ceiling to give a nature-like vibe. Hikariya will be decorated with farm'n goodies until October 12th, so check it out if you're in the Shibuya, Tokyo area. You can see more pictures of the event on the Famitsu website: So here's something a bit different in Trio of Towns compared to previous versions of the series. Typically to build chicken flocks, players will buy their first chicken and then hatch the rest by placing an egg in a nesting box or an incubator. Sometimes it varies a bit; in Tale of Two Towns, Jessica took your one chicken and returned two of them later, and in A Wonderful Life you had to own both male and female chickens. In Trio of Towns, you put the adult chicken in the nesting box. The bird will sit there for 8 days and doesn't eat any of the food set out for it in the poultry barn feed bins. It also doesn't produce any eggs for you to collect and won't be herded outside by any of your herding pet helpers. Once the 8 days are up, you have a little baby chicken to care for. Until next time! - Cher (No Farm'n Friday next week or the week after that, as we're off for an adventure!)
