Ivan is upstairs tutoring the girls on math. Lauren easily understands the lesson but Cindy is having some problems. Ivan tells the girls that there'll be a math test next time he teaches them.
He notices that Cindy looks discouraged. She asks if he really needs to test them. Ivan explains to Cindy that she can't avoid things that she's not good at. Cindy doesn't find all of the math symbols and numbers any fun at all. Ivan says that once she gets good at it, she'll find out that math is fun after all. He knows that she can do it!
Cindy isn't falling for his tricks though. Does he think he can compliment her like that? Cindy's blushing is noticed by her sister.
Since Cindy seems to need a motivation to learn math, Ivan tells her he will have a reward for her if she does well on the math test; he'll grant her a wish, as long as it is within his ability to grant it, of course. Cindy gets excited and tells him she'll try hard to ace the test.
