Baddoch's Past

Doctor Baddoch has discovered Mukumuku in the forest. Startled, the furry fellow starts to run away, but Baddoch understands how his appearance can be frightening. The doctor's tale sounds interesting, and Mukumuku returns to hear what he has to say.

Baddoch explains that a long time ago, a young girl was suffering from an extremely contagious disease. Any doctor who attempted to treat the disease also became infected. Because of this, the girl was often passed around from doctor to doctor because no one could help her. Eventually, she came to Doctor Baddoch. Though she was in rough shape, she reminded Baddoch of his daughter; the young girl was far too young to die, in his opinion. He successfully treated her disease but lost his left eye when he too became infected.

Baddoch's story moves Mukumuku, though the doctor asks not to give him any pity. He considers his left eye as a badge of honor. Baddoch feels that perhaps Mukumuku may need some medical assistance, and he may have just the injection to help with that. Mukumuku tries to escape, but Baddoch stops and asks the cryptid to remove the costume they're wearing. Mukumuku breaks free and runs away.
