The Crimson Bridge After all that happened, Ark decided to settle down. Anyway, he had met his quota of adventure for an entire lifetime. Years passed and Ark grew older, but he never seemed to change. He and Elle had a boy and a girl, both were strong and healty. And were growing, Ark was old, and felt the Elder was about to die. So he decided to go see the Elder, who had nearly passed out. This way, he told himself, the Elder could pass some wisdom to his offspring before he departed to the great beyond. As he arrived to the old man's house, he saw him, in his bed. Where he was holding a strange pendant. "This pendant was offered to me by an unknown man, he claimed that this wouldst open the door for the person of pure blood." the Elder opened his hand, revealing the pendant to Ark. "You don't mean to say that I am that..." The Elder interrupted him "No, Ark, thou is not that person, but thou know him/her well...". Ark shouted, "You don't mean that it's Elle, do you?". "It may be, but my old age blurs my vision. If thee knowest the person, give it to him, he shalt know about this, protect Elle more than thyself". "Of course, I love her more than anything in the World" Ark replyed The Elder handed the pendant over to Ark, before passing away, he told him "Thy quest is not finished yet, you must find the foreordained and bring him to hole next to our village." With a groaning, he passes away, thus leaving only Ark in the room. In the following days, Ark was changed, before that incident, he was happy and a good father. Training his children to become warriors like him. Elle showed them that strength is nothing without intelligence so tought them everything she knew about the world, it's ways, it's beauty. Ark almost forgot that he, once, thought the world was beautiful but, that was when he was younger. When he had the energy to search for the foreordained. Yet if he knew the one was near. Nobody knew it, only Ark, realizing that the pendant was losing some of it's shimmering. He began to lose hope. Our hero, the noble Ark, thought he knew who was the one, he just didn't accept it. But then, he finally decided that no matter what he does. He will have to give the pendant to the One. Ark arrived at his house, seeing Elle weaving some clothes for her children "Elle, do you know about this?, answer me truly please...". "I do not know about that pendant, but it seems magical". Both of his children got home at that time. "Hi, mom, hi dad" they said almost simulateousely. "Dad, what are you holding?" said the boy. He was tall for his age, but seemed so weak. His skin was nearly pure white and seemed like he never saw the sun in his life. Unlike his father in his younger days, he is not that energetic and mischieveous but he has affinity with animals like few ever seen. Ark did converse with animals and plants, but he never was able to do it after ressurecting the humans. He, on the other hand, seemed so much more at home with them than with his parents, even though he looked like a civil person. He knowed so much about magic that people said he can use magic without magirocks. But he knows that's not true. Kashia was the tough one, the one you wouldn't want in a back alley near midnight She was proficient with all sorts of weaponry, from the agile rapier to the brute axe. She knowed all about it, they seemed to complete each other. They thought that their brother/sister was an alien and it was futile to understand him/her. At night, Ark, before going to sleep, put the pendant on each of them to see if they were the one, but to no avail. Exhausted, he put the pendant onto the table. "This'll remind me of my task at hand". At dawn, the children woke up, they saw the pendant on the table. "Hey, what is this doing here?" As they reached for the pendant, the pendant shimmered more and more. Enough to wark up Ark, who saw the scene. He finally found him, but never guessed that his children would be the foreordained... Author's note : This is going to be pretty, four chapters are my goal and tell me if it has the Aurabeam's fanfic syndrome (Everyone thought it sucked, right?).
