Terranigma is the translated game Tenchi Souzou from Japan. Since the game was published by Enix, and Enix tends to make merchandise of their games (i.e. Dragon Warrior school kits), Tenchi Souzou also had a few things made. There are two books; a Game Book where you play the part of Ark in a "choose your own adventure" type of setting, and the Guide Book. There is also an origional game soundtrack if you cant get enough of the game music. I would assume that there is also an English version of the Guide Book for the game when it was released in Europe and Australia, although I have yet to verify it's existence. Perhaps a Guide Book in Spanish for the Spain release of Terranigma?
Warning: These pictures are spoilers from the game! If you want to play out the scenes in the game first, view these pictures once you've completed the game. Many of these pictures are also very large in order to grab all of the details.
Japan isn't the only country with Tenchi Souzou stuff though! Back when the game was first released in Germany, Nintendo Power magazine released a small comic book with little scenes from the game in it. Annica was first to send us some pages (Page 2,3, and 30) but Oliver from RPG Waterfalls was nice enough to send us the rest of the 32 page comic! Thanks Annica and Oliver!
Tenchi Souzou Game Book
ISBN#: 4-87025-904-4
The first book I received was the "choose your own adventure" Gamebook illustrated by Kamui Fujiwara. The book is printed on some brownish newsprint type of paper, and all graphics are in black and white except for the cover pictures. The book is also small enough to fit in your back pocket and is in all Japanese. The idea for reading the book is to read up to a certain point, then depending on which way you want to react to the situation you're reading, you turn to certain sections of the book to continue the story.

Tenchi Souzou Guide Book
ISBN#: 4-87025-850-1
The second book is the Tenchi Souzou guide book, or the Japanese version of a players guide. It is in all Japanese too, but strangely it opens like a western type book. Usually Japanese books open from left to right (or "backwards" as some people say), but for some reason this one opens from right to left like a normal book. The Guidebook is full of zone maps, character description, and even a town guide. Kamui also drew the anime-type illustrations that are on just about every page.

Tenchi Souzou Creative Sound Tracks
Kitty Enterprises, Inc. KTCR-1344
And like most Japanese video games, this one also has a music cd with a collection of songs from the game. The first 6 tracks are remixes of various themes such as Zue/Zoo and Ra Tree/Evergreen, while the remaining 27 tracks are from the game itself. Unfortunatly not all of the games music is on the cd. The character themes (Yomi's music, Royd's music) are missing.

Our new friend from Japan, Coeles, has sent in some pictures he has taken of his two Tenchi Souzou comic books. The manga are in black and white with color covers. Both are drawn by Coeles explained that both were drawn by Mamiko Yasaka.
Tenchi Souzou Novel
ISBN#: 4-87025-864-1
Coeles also sent in a photograph of the Tenchi Souzou novel that he has. It is written by Saori Kumi and the story starts out in Lhasa, but that's all he's told about it.
Tenchi Souzou World Atlas
Magus was able to get a copy of the World Atlas and sent in some photographs of it that he took. Yipee!
