My Rants
Well wasn't that a doozy? After about a month after I finished Terranecare, I decided to do another fic
for the contest. This fic isn't very polished, do to the fact that It takes place before Terranigma. This
also leads to other things:
(Scratch the contest part...it's off topic...ARGH!!)
1. No Accuracy
There's really nothing to go on, like town placement and events, because this takes place BEFORE
Terranigma.
2. Guessing
This is a unique fic that isn't any official story made by Quintet. It is something that I made up.
So, I hope you enjoy. And if you don't, then just read it to make fun of me. Seriously! I don't mind!
So let's get the story rolling shall we?
Chapter One: Genesis
.................
How did it begin?
Where did it all start?
Was it just an event of chance?
Or was far from it?
Long ago, before time can tell, the divine Creator was alone. He was a nexus of unimaginable power, yet
he was alone. For a solution, he had created the stars and the light. And to keep the light balanced, he
had created space and the dark.
Is that all?
Is that how we are now?
What of the Gaias, whose very existance drives the whole universe?
As space and dark, the stars and light, he had eventually created the Earth, a ball of matter. This very
piece of the Creator's masterpiece had potential. Life had sprung from every crack and piece of this ball
- soon to be called the Earth.
BUT WHAT OF THE GAIAS?!?
STOP GOING OFF INTO ANOTHER SUBJECT!
Haha, all in due time young one. You see, this new life was unguided and chaotic. The Creator had already
overseen this and was in the process of making a being - NO! - a power, more like. The people and animals,
plants and insects, sealife to airlife, were attacking and killing each other. The divine Creator's plan
had been put into action - to implement the newly formed Gaia Spirit.
Only one Gaia?
What hppened to the other one?
Well, this Gaia Spirit was pure. It had represented life, joy, happiness and prosperity. If there was pure
light, then there would be no problems, right? Wrong. Have you ever heard the phrase "There can be no good
without evil"? That's basically what happened.
Did the Creator create another Gaia?
You know, the blackness...The Dark Gaia?
No, this did not happen. The creator had overseen everything, including this little problem. The life on on
Earth was somewhat convinced that the Gaia Spirit would help them in some way. But that little bit of doubt
in them had created another Gaia, a power that had represented death, sorrow, depression. This was known
as the Dark Gaia.
Are they really spirits?
Can they really exist?
Well, after this balance had occured, order had been made. The people eventually built farms and houses,
and technology had soared. This was the will of the "Light" Gaia. The people had also made weapons and
battle fields, and life was decreased. This was the will of the Dark Gaia. They had both been balanced
toward each other, and things had stayed this way until...
UNTIL...
The Gaias had embued themselvels into a physical form, a vessel to carry them. From their physical forms
they had an easier way to carry out their will. The people were awed and amazed at these physical forms,
who came to be known as Lord Kumari, the Light, and the Elder, of the Dark. Kumari ruled Lhasa, and is
still ruling here. The Elder on the other hand rules Crysta, in the depths of the underground.

A little boy was laying on a fur carpet. The heat of a well lit fireplace had filled the room. A man was
sitting in a creaky old rocking chair, smoking a tabac filled pipe. For the moment, all was peaceful, and
there were no worries.
"Tell me more, Royd!", the little boy piped up.
The man put down his pipe and stood up, while the little boy got up also.
"Not tonight, it's a wee bit too late for you. Now off to bed Ark."
After a couple groans and "awww's", the boy finally nodded and went running off to his room.
"Cute boy, he is."
Royd had left to retire for the night, but not before he had heard a knock on the door.
"Who can that be at this time of night?"
He walked to the door, and opened the door. There stood an armor clad soldier, with a weary face and
tired arms. He had a slight gash on his forehead.
"Royd! The Elder's forces are invading Lhasa! They leveled the bordering villages! Please! We need
your command on this!"
Royd, a man with great leading potential and great battling experience. He had become a captain of
Kumari's high emperial army, or the Kumata.
Royd had waved the man off, and he went into his little cellar to get his weapon and armor.
"This is a very late night...damned Crimega!"
Crimega was a faction of the Elder's high army, and they were usually the people to use for high-scale
invasions.
Royd had equipped his armor, and went off into the night. It was no longer the peaceful and quiet
night it HAD been.
***
"From command of the Elder! Find the Hero Spear! If anyone impedes this search, level their house and
kill them. Is that understood?"
A large crowd of armed Crimega soldiers were surrounding the borderland Lhasa village. Strokolm had
almost been destroyed, but the men kept searching, for they were almost certain of location of the
Hero Spear.
A woman was in this army, but she was very angry on the method of finding the spear.
"Lady Fyda! Are you going to search, or stay here?"
Fyda and her command of men have been on a mountainland near Strokolm. She was obligated to go into
the village, but showed obvious reluctance.
"This is so stupid...why are we commanded to KILL these people? They are just simple farmers with
simple lives..."
After a long while, she waved for her group to go in. She had gone in also. But what she witnessed
had horrified her. Piles of men, women and children had been stacked up high in a nasty stench of
dead. They had been cleared out to let the houses be searched. No doubt they were one of the
"impedements".
She had spotted a house that was not searched. She went up to the door, and took a deep breath. Then
she pushed the door open. A man and a woman were seen. Crying had been heard farther in the back.
"You're looking for the spear, aren't you?" the man croaked out.
Fyda had a worried expression. "Please, just give up the spear. Surely it is not worth the expense of
your lives!"
The woman had spoken also. "I'm sorry, but we cannot give up the secret of the spear, even if it
causes our deaths. But please... if you are obligated to kill us, don't hold back."
Fyda had closed her eyes, and reached for her sword.
"Please take care of our daughter...she's in her room at the back."
Fyda still had her eyes closed. "I promise I will take care of her as my own...please forgive me..."
Blood had stained the floor of the house. Fyda put her sword back, and went toward the back of the
house. A little girl was seen on the bed. She was crying while holding her stuffed bear.
"W...Who are you...?" the girl had whimpered.
Fyda bit back tears. "Come on, I have to get you out of here. It's not safe..."
At first, the girl stood there. But Fyda went to her and held out a hand. The girl had reached out to
her.
Fyda had covered her eyes until she got back to the mountain land. Her men had come back also. They
were eyeing her and the girl. One of the men had come up to Fyda. He had his sword drawn and meant
for it to go straight through the "Strolkolm Impedement".
Fyda had used her sheath and blocked the swing, all the while she had a knife drawn and slashed at
the eye of the disrespectful man. He went back with blood dripping down his face.
"Hear me! Any who even touches this girl will find himself with a blade through their thoat.
Understand?"
The men simply nodded. The one that got slashed muttered.
"You little bitch...you've gone soft by helping one of THEM?"
Fyda had already been gone to even hear that remark. She stop in her tent and looked at the girl, who
was shivering while she was on the floor.
"What's your name, little one?"
The girl had looked up at her and stopped shivering.
"Elle."
******
WHOA! Now wasn't that a big load of crap? Don't worry, this is just the beginning of a tale which you
don't need to understand just yet.
BTW: I know that this was really inaccurate, like Strolkolm being on the outskirts of Lhasa. Well,
think of it this way - Pangea was the first continent, right? If that were true, then the U.S. and
the U.K. would be right next to each other, right?
Chapter one will be coming very soon. I mean it, VERY VERY soon.
