This was my first terranigma fanfic attempt, but I released it a long time ago on another site. I just submitted it here...for no apparent reason. The background of this fanfic was to finally answer the question of what happened after the dream. This is all speculation and opinion, so it's nothing close to what Quintet can make, or anyone else can make. So, without much further ado...

(Note: The format of this story is semi-script,semi-story...you'll see what i'm talking about...)

The planet possessed two souls
An external face and an internal face
Lightside and Darkside
As the light and the dark clashed,
they were part of an undisturbed balance...
Or was it really undisturbed?
As greed infests more, it becomes more and more unbalanced
A hero would come to stop this spread over each side
Bearing a staff he would set the standard of equality
OR WOULD HE?
The balance would once again be disturbed
but a more infested light balance would come to be
One more hero...heroine would be called...

Prologue Intro

ArkL: The Dark Gaia is once again sealed! You along with Crysta, will dissapear. Enjoy your last moments of happiness in Crysta, your beloved hometown...
ArkD: What was I fighting for all this time...?

(As the game ended with elle, the main char is elle)
Elle: Who can it be at this hour? It's nearly midnight!

Knock Knock goes the door again. As the quiet dark aura of the house sets the mood of the room. It's dark outside, not a light to be seen. KNOCK!

Elle: I'm coming! I'm coming!

Elle-a mysterious enigma. A woman who had dealings with her more known darkside. Her tender hands turn the doorknob and opens the door...

Elle: You...

As the glowing ball of light shines, it fills the room with and undisturbed light, utterly annialating the dark aura. A name...A more recognizable name-Elle.

ElleL: What do you want? Ark may have trusted you at that time in the basement, but I will have no such dealing with you!

At this, ElleD looks amused.

ElleD: Come...Ark is no longer among us, at least for a time anyway...

The pulasting light-body moved closer to ElleL, and with that ElleL moved back.

ElleL: Stay away from me! And what do you mean Ark is gone?

ElleD had a sad look on her face.

ElleD: Crysta, the clone of your village, no longer exists. You see, Ark went to destroy the Dark Gaia. He suceeded, but it was for a price. The entire underworld was created by the Dark Gaia for his own greedy purposes, including its inhabitants. When Dark Gaia was destroyed, all of his creations went with him...

ElleL: Now that's a stubborn lie! If everything went with him, why do you, an inhabitant of Crysta, still exist?

ElleD: That's a true riddle on its own. I found myself flung through the very hole of the surface world. And I found myself with the knowledge of a new problem.

ElleL was now listening intently.

ElleD: You see, Ark's life was actually pointless. He went on a quest to destroy the Dark Gaia and ressurect the world...but why? The precious balance between the light and dark was, at the current time, unbalanced. The dark was manifesting the entire circle, and Ark went to stop it. But the unseen problem...What next? The Dark Gaia is gone, so that leaves only the light gaia to take control. Now, as stupid as it sounds, the balance is once again disturbed.

ElleL looked up at her unseen double.

ElleL: So what do you propose to do?

A long silence came over them, but when noise came back it rippled a shock through the room.

ElleD: As Ark ressurected the world...We...must ressurect the Dark Gaia!

ElleL stepped back, filled with anger.

ElleL: You're freakin crazy! Ark set out to destroy the dark gaia, the root of evil, and you, the closest thing to Ark, want to bring it back to life? I will have no part in this! Do this on your own!

ElleD: That's the problem. If I could have, I would. But I cannot move through the surface world when my double exists. And, this is not to go against ark. I proposed to do this because I want to help Ark! He didn't go out to destroy the dark gaia-he went out to redistribute the balance! But there was an unseen trap. Ark is gone, and the light gaia is now taking control. Soon, the light gaia will no longer exist...

ElleL: What? Why?

ElleD: There can't be light with out dark. If one is gone, then the other will soon share the fate and cease to exist.

ElleL: Then why didn't we just let the Dark take over? It would've been gone right?

ElleD: Yes, but the intention of the Dark was to take over. That would end the growth of the earth, rendering all of Ark's accomplishments useless. Life would've died again, to a point where it could not have been ressurected.

ElleL was thinking on this for a short while, but it seemed like ages.

ElleL: What do you want me to do?

ElleD: Just close you eyes, and focus on the dark horizon...

Light shined through massively, and Elle was found alone. She collapsed onto the floor.


Chapter 1 SHORT STARTER...

Perel: So Ark hasn't come back?

MeiLing was coming from the surface hole portal. She shook her head and a single tear came from her eye.

Perel: Oh no.

They were silent for a long time.

MeiLing: Let's go tell Elle. She will be devastated when she hears about this...

They were off to Strolkolm, moving seamlessly through the forest...
