Crops, Flowers, & Herbs

In Innocent Life, you can grow traditional crops, flowers, or herbs. They can be purchased from the supermarket in town, or from the Vending Machines located in a room on the front of the runes, unlocked with the Blue Jewels.

When you buys seeds they automatically sent to your seed box. You get just seeds - you will need a seed bag (Marleen will give you many) to take it out of seed box. One seed bag can only hold one type of seeds, so if you done planting and have some seeds left, you would have to put them back into seed box in order to refill seed bag with another kind of seeds. Seed bags can be charged as a tool when equipped.

Some plants will give multiple harvests from a single plant, a feature not yet seen in other Harvest Moon games. Strawberries are the first plant you will be able to plant which will yield several fruits per square. You can keep watering it and it will also re-grow.

In addition, some jewels can affect the selling prices of crops. Those adjusted values are listed here.

Some plants are very fragile in storms, some are hardy. You might want to wait until after the first storm to plant fragile items. Or plant a lot of them and hope that some survive the storm. Even hardy plants will get destroyed by storm - about 10-20% of them.

(Note about storms: this is unconfirmed by other players, but I was able to avoid 99% of storms by saving when you outside, going to sleep without saving and checking the weather - if storm is predicted, I would reload game and make a cup of tea (yes, tea!) before going to sleep - again, sleep without saving, check the weather - and storm is gone! In year 1, however, there is 1 storm per season that cannot be avoided - for me it was always in 2nd week of the season)

Each season last 35 days.

Kale 7 days 40 G 48 G no no hardy Both

You wont be able to grow anything in winter if you cant use the monsoon watering can. Be sure to water stuff yourself so that you can use the level 3 monsoon can.

Flowers

You can not harvest flowers yourself. Once they have bloomed you must go to your TV and select Herbal Garden channel and choose the Ship Flowers option. All the flowers that are ready for harvest will be listed. Agree to ship them and someone will mysteriously come get them before you get up the next morning, and the money will be added to your account. Careful not to wait too long to ship them. If a storm comes in, you could lose them.

About 5% of Rose turned to be white in year 2).µµ Roses are very weak in storms so either plant a lot of them and hope at least one survives or plant after the storms.
