Throughout the game you may run into wild creatures as you walk through the maps. These animals will want to "battle" with you. In previous River King games you have to hit the monster on a certain region of it's body to do point damage, but in A Wonderful Journey you don't have to fight at all!
The creature that appears will quiz you on a trivia question, and then give you a selection of answer. If you choose the correct answer then you sometimes might receive a piece of bait. If you get the answer wrong then it might steal a fish from your Basket! The monster will only ask you one question, then it will leave.
Wild creatures are random encounters within certain areas of the maps. You might bump into one while walking through their special areas. If you want to challenge the creature again, just stand in the same spot where you previously saw it. The beast will pop up again after a few minutes and ask you another question. Each creature has about 30 different questions that it can ask.
