Tigre greets you as you enter the house, but he looks a bit upset. Tigre says his eyes look red because he has allergies. You think that's not the whole story though. He invites you to have a seat and he'll bring you some tea.

At the table you notice a book on the table. Tigre explains he had been reading it and asks if you have read it before. You admit that you have not. Tigre says that in his home country it is a popular book. He hasn't read it in a while and so he's rereading it. The story is an adventure the main character takes to meet up with his childhood friend. The hero took a ship to the friend's country, but a storm blew him to a different country. He gets into a lot of trouble when stopping at various islands to restock his supplies. Tigre says he really enjoys the story. It is his favorite! At one point the hero is attached by bad guys, but even though the odds were against him, he was able to defeat them! Tigre is really excited to tell you about the other stories in the book; eventually he apologizes for being overly enthusiastic.

Tigre wants to be as strong as the hero in the book. When he was younger his learned about the stories about his legendary grandpa. When he first read the story it reminded him about Haulani's tales. Back home, Haulani is a great general who has a lot of responsibilities. When he was younger he took on 30 bandits all by himself. In their martial arts tournament, he was the winner over everyone else with one stroke of his sword. There are various legends about him!

Choice 1: Was he really that legendary of a person?

Perhaps! Grandpa is a really incredible guy. Some day he wants to be as strong as Haulani is.

Result: +2000 FP with Tigre

Choice 2: He doesn't look it!

Tigre is annoyed with your response. Well, grandpa now leads a leisurely life of fishing, but in his youth he was amazing. Some day he will be as strong as his grandpa!

Result: -1000 FP with Tigre

Tigre apologizes again for his enthusiasm. He returns to the topic of the book, and tells you about the dancing girls the hero meets. One of them falls in love with the hero, but the hero had to continue on his journey and convinces her to stay home even though he truthfully wants her to go along on his travels. It is an emotional point in the story when he left her behind. He had been reading the part of the story where they were going their separate ways. So that's why his eyes were so red! Tigre refuses to admit it; his tears were because he had something in his eye!

Haulani returns home and notices the book on the table. He hasn't read that book in a long time... in fact, he is the inspiration that the story's hero is based on! A long time ago he was going to reunite with a childhood friend and sailed off on his own. Haulani ran into a variety of situations while traveling. When he finally met up with his friend, Haulani told him all about the adventures he had, and his friend eventually wrote a novel about it. So that's why the martial arts tournament story in the book resembles Haulani's story. Haulani said even this village is part of the story!

During his journey when he had stopped here for supplies, he saw a pair of dancing girls. So this village became the inspiration for the girl's village in the story. The girl from the dancing pair turned out to be Tototara. Wasn't grandma from Lulukoko?

Haulani says that's a story for another time. Oh well. Tigre thanks you for hanging out with him.
