The Ushi No Tane websites specialize in information, FAQs, and guides about the Nintendo console versions of the Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and Legend of the River King video games. These game genres are created and published in Japan by Marvelous (JP). In other regions, you'll find Natsume, XSeed Games/Marvelous (USA), Marvelous (EU), and Rising Star involved in the series' release.
The latest version of the mainstream farming series that have been released in various regions of the world are:

- North America: Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos (September 2023) and Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (June 2023)
- Europe: Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos (October 2023) and Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (June 2023)
The latest version of River King, in all regions of the world, is River King: Mystic Valley (JP 2007, NA 2008, EU 2009).
Since 2000, Ushi no Tane has been run by a grouchy old lady who happens to be fond of video game agriculture along with two feline helpers: Intern Captain Bootu and Intern Hondo Mewnaka. The website is not officially affiliated, sponsored, endorsed, or employed by the developers of Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, or River King. This is simply a fan site.

Lost Valley DLC #1 and #2 |
Posted at 09:53 PM 31 January 2015
This week was the first download content release for
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, and the first one is free for all players. If you have the Dresser from Doc, you will get new customization options:
- New Outfit Set 1 will get you Long Hair (girls) and Very Short Hair (boys), and new clothing Fairy Tail Girl and Western Boy.
- New Outfit Set 2 will get you just new outfits: Pink Button Down and Dairy Farmer for boy players, Camo Girl and Dairy Farmer Girl for girl players. The DLC also turns Catherine into a store, where she will have these new outfits available if you trade her the right amount of sheep wool.
The
official press release from Natsume hints at future DLC that will have items that can "customize the Lost Valley", adds new crops and cooking recipes, and possibly new marriage candidates. The press release confirms that European players will also have access to these extra content packages once the game is released in their territory. Granted, the current player base hasn't even unlocked all of the
existing crop mutations yet, so it may be a bit early to be adding in new plants to pull out our hair over.
The official release date for
Story of Seasons has not been announced by XSeed Games yet. No hurry though, as that just makes more guide writing time before release!
