Lost Valley patch 1.1 | Posted at 12:32 PM 17 July 2015
This week the Super Dewey patch for Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley landed in the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Players will be notified of the available download when they launch the game from their 3DS main menu. The download requires 41 blocks of SD card space. This patch has general bug and freezing corrections, increases the capacity of the Watering Can from 50 to 200, makes it easier to befriend the Harvest Sprites, and enhances the blue Harvest Sprite's watering abilities. For those who haven't played Lost Valley, players can hire the sprites to do various tasks in the valley area, with Dewey being the grouchy fellow who waters crops that have dry soil. His watering area is based on his Chemistry level (i.e., friendship), so the more Chemistry you have with Dewey, the more area he will water. This patch increases the range his sprinkling powers can reach. The blue sprite in my game is at 100% Chemistry, and he can now easily cover a massive area of planted crops with one-hour of watering work. While manually watering the crops is still one-at-a-time, although now with 200 water instead of 50, Dewey's expanded ability will save farmers time and effort on the days he's hired to work. XSeed Games sent out a press release to announce that Story of Seasons has sold over 100,000 copies in North America. The company is pleased that the game has reached its high sales numbers faster than Rune Factory 4. From the Japanese side, the JP release of Return to Popolcrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale is now up to over 60,000 sales since the game was released a month ago. XSeed's release about SoS sales numbers confirms that the game is still set for a Winter release in North America; remember, "Winter" could be anywhere from November 2015 to February 2016. And here is the Nintendo DREAM 4-column comic for June!
