New Sweeties for Precious Friends | Posted at 10:19 PM 04 March 2016
In the recent edition of Weekly Famitsu, Marvelous released new information about Story of Seasons: Precious Friends of the 3 Hometowns. First up is the game's official Japanese release date: June 23, 2016. Marvelous is also encouraging pre-orders by offering a 20th anniversary bubble cow phone strap: image This little charm will plug into the headphone jack of a mobile phone and is freak'n cute. It is a more reasonable phone strap promo in comparison to the Angora Rabbit phone strap that was offered back when Story of Seasons was released in Japan, which was a bit too large to be attached to a mobile phone. When the game was released in North America, the rabbit had its phone strap removed and it became a "plushie" instead. The little loop where the strap attaches can still be found between the rabbit's ear though. Perhaps there's a good chance that North America will get the little cow minus the strap bit (condolences to Europe, of course). This edition of Weekly Famitsu also highlights the variety of pet options you can choose from for your one "soul mate" pet. Specifically, the magazine highlights the types of dogs (Husky, Shiba Inu, Bernese, Doberman, Toy Poodle, Dachshund, Chihuahua, and Beagle), types of cats (Main Coon, Scottish Fold, Himalayan, Calico, Siamese, Tabby, American Shorthair, and Bengal), and a Capybara pet that you can befriend. artworkThe highlight of this week's article is the tropical Lulukoko Village. Four new villagers were introduced: Zahau the fisherman, his spouse Calia, son Charku, and daughter Alma. There are also three new marriage candidates: home remodeler Ludeus and teahouse maidens Shuka (in blue) and Iuka in pink). You don't marry both twins of course, as they are individual candidates. This makes three candidates so far for the girl main character, and four candidates for the boy main character. The candidates will display flowers on their dialog boxes to indicate their friendship level with you (the villagers do not display any dialog box friendship indicator), with each village's marriage potentials having a different style of flower. The going-steady system returns in Precious Friends, requiring you to give a be-my-sweetie pendant instead of the ring used in the last two versions of the Bokumono series. Each village also has their own item necessary for you to use to propose marriage, as the Blue Feather can only be used for candidates in Lulukoko Village; no word yet as to what item is handed over in Westown or Tsuyukusa. The artwork displayed in the article also reveals the possible farm animals that you can raise. The artwork includes an updated version of the toupee cow, the old-style bubble cow, and the Yak from A New Beginning; the Sheep, Suffolk Sheep, Alpaca, Brown Alpaca, and Llama; and the Chicken, Silkie Chicken, and Quail. Local and online connectivity will be accessible at Connection Island, where you can text chat and trade items with other players. The game also has StreetPass functionality with the number of people you tag impacting the types of items your "soul mate" pet can gift to you. The game was also briefly featured in yesterday's Nintendo Direct for the Japan region. You can see the main character walking around, farming, talking with the villagers, and even what the capybara pet looks like: Today, Natsume added another video tip for their mobile game, Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories. This time the main character is on the hunt for the lonely, yet perverted, Harvest God. The old fellow lives high above in the clouds, but she needs a way to get up there. You can watch her quest to reach his domain by visiting Natsume's Facebook page: Until next time! - Cher (Ordered some more dahlia bulbs for this Spring. I think I might have an addiction...)
