Happy Farm'n Friday! This week in North America, Natsume announced that Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories for iOS and Android will be on sale for 30% off in all regions the game is sold in. The sale will last until the 30th of June.

In Europe (and beyond), Rising Star Games announced last week that they will be publishing Harvest Moon: Skytree Village for Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2017 (March, April, or May). The PAL region will get the presence of magnificent Doc once again! Now, in JAPAN, the latest edition to the Bokumono franchise, Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns was released in stores and on the Nintendo 3DS digital eShop. The game currently is rating at 5 stars in the eShop and still priced at 10% off until the 6th. In this version, you find that your family is moving to a new town (again) and instead of going along with them, you propose to trek out on your own. Darius thinks that it is a good idea until you explain that you want to become a farmer. The two of you get into a debate until you finally convince him to let you follow your dream. A new feature of this game is your personality trait. You set this option during the character creation. The Popular trait earns you a friendship boost with the villagers, the Rich trait starts you out with more money, the Animal Lover trait raises your friendship with animals faster, and so on. The game also has a novice/seedling mode and veteran mode to select from when you start the game. The tutorial time is much shorter than the previous entry; you're on your own soon after you move to the old farm by the crossroads that lead to each of the three towns. The path to Westown is the only one available at the start, with the other two town entrances unlocking later in the game. Your uncle Frank will show you around town, give you the option to listen to him tell you how to handle basic farming chores, and then you're off to start your farming life! screen shot

Another feature added in to pass the time are the part-time jobs. There's a variety of different jobs that are available each day, similar to the message board from Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns. There are jobs to brush farm animals, pick weeds, and chop wood; these jobs start once you select them and act like mini games that end after you've completed the task and receive your pay. Other jobs like shipping items or courier tasks will earn you money the next day. Shipping part-time jobs ask you to ship X number of a type of item (vegetables, eggs, milk, etc.) while courier tasks require you to take a package from the job-giver and deliver it to a recipient. There's even a part-time job to be a medicine tester for Doctor Ford (yikes!). Famitsu.com posted an article this week with pictures of the pets that you can have on your farm. There are 28 types of pets available along with Hamtaro.
