SoM Android Release |
Posted at 12:36 PM 22 April 2016Happy Farm'n Friday!
This week the Android OS version of
Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories was released on the Google Play market. The game retails for $10 USD and has
some stringent system requirements. Your mobile device must be running Android 4.4 (Jellybean) or later, have at least 1.5 G of RAM, and be manufactured after March 2014. Many players with non-US or out-of-date devices are finding that they don't meet the minimum specifications to play the game on their Android mobile devices. Keep in mind that
Seeds of Memories is meant to be played
completely offline (i.e., no continuous downloads, no cloud save, etc.) so you need to have a device beefy enough to run the game.
You can read reviews, both positive and negative (yet mostly positive), on the Google Play web store:
The eBay auctions for Natsume's unsealed boxes of
Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town and
Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town ended earlier this week. The auction for FoMT ended at $125 USD, and the auction for MFoMT ended at $71 USD. Collectors are clearly willing to pay a lot of G for an unopened GBA game. Congratulations to the auction winners!
In Japan, Marvelous is hyping up the release of
Story of Seasons: Precious Friends of the 3 Hometowns by collaborating with various retail stores to release promotional 20th year anniversary items with preorders of its latest version of
Bokumono. Last week it was announced that preorders from HMV will receive a
Lunch Cloth (about 10" x 16" in size), but now there's a whole cropfull of different promotions. Amazon.jp is offering up a limited edition 20th anniversary tote bag, the
Famitsu Deluxe edition (also available on Amazon.jp) comes with three plushies, retailer
Takarajima is offering a two-pin set
and a clear plate that you can use with your existing light stand, and so on. Want them all? WELL TOO BAD! Let's hope that retailer-specific 20th anniversary preorder items will
not appear when the game is released outside of Japan; I'm definitely not a fan of having to preorder a game at multiple locations just to get each one's promo items.
You can see more of the 20th anniversary promo items on the official Bokumono website:
As for Potatoland, it has finally risen from the compost and dirt!
They need to be a little bit bigger before I can "hill" the dirt up over them again, but at least there's some progress.
Until next time!

(It's a wet weekend here. Looks like I'll be inside writing about video games and working on Christmas lights!)
