Well, there's not much that went on this week in the world of Bokujou Monogatari and Harvest Moon. The latest game from Japan, Story of Season: Precious Friends of the 3 Hometowns comes out in about 6 weeks, but this week there was no new information released on account of the national Golden Week holiday. Perhaps there'll be some new tidbits to chew on next week. In North America, now that the Android version of Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories has been released, the anticipated next step would be releasing the PC and WiiU versions of the game. There was about 3 months between the Apple iOS version release and the Android release, so perhaps the next platform release will be sometime in July. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is next month from the 14th to the 16th, and we might hear more information about the last two version releases at that time. Speaking of E3, it seems a few companies have opted not to fully participate at the trade show this year. Disney Interactive will not have its own booth this year; in past years the Disney booth have made customized promo items available to show visitors, with last year being a photo opportunity with digital Disney Infinity characters whereby you received a Infinity figurine afterward. Another year was on-site screen T-Shirts (you could pick your shirt logo and then watch each color being layered onto the shirt) and custom-labeled Oswald the Rabbit hats. Disney's presence will be missed by the show attendees. EA will also be skipping out on having a mega-booth year. In the past, the EA booth has typically been the large area in front of the main entrance in the South Hall of the LA Convention Center. Visitors would walk in and *bam* it's brightly lit EA everywhere. Not so this year it seems. Wargaming.net and Activision has also jumped ship from the floor space. Activision often has a very BIG video screen they use to play trailers for their upcoming games, which may mean that the show floor will be much quieter this year without their massive floor-vibrating sound system. Wargaming often held tournaments at their booth with lots of hot lights, bodies, and PCs. Even Nintendo is making a laid-back appearance this year, with their booth being dedicated solely to the latest Zelda game and a Nintendo Treehouse streaming event. Strangely enough, Nintendo likes to block the view of their booth with large curtains before the show officially opens. No peaking! Neither Natsume nor XSEED have dropped out of the show though. Natsume will be in its standard spot over in South Hall, and XSEED will be located in its standard area over in West Hall. What will our two farming developers have available for us this year? We'll find out next month! Until next time! - Cher (The 80 degree heat beat up my snap peas, but the zucchini and dahlias are super happy!)
