Posted at 03:35 PM 23 November 2018Happy Farm'n Friday! It's the last weekend for the Christmas Light Extravaganza install, and unfortunately today it is raining. It's currently at 9300 LED lights!
Last night at Thanksgiving dinner, Mr.Fogu's brother-in-law got his nieces convinced that putting whipped cream on everything made it better. They tried whipped cream and ham, whipped cream and cubed cheese, but then paused at the suggestion of whipped cream, cookies,
and gravy.

Farm Folks Update
Overgrown has revealed some more gameplay features of their Kickstarter farming game. This time the team has revealed how players can participate in other activities:
- Fishing: Farm Folks will have both fresh water and salt water fish. After getting the fishing pole, it can be upgraded to catch larger and rarer fish. The fishing mini game involves tossing their line into the water, wait for the fish to take the hook, and then follow the on-screen prompts to reel the fish in. The fish can be cooked, sold, or even used for hunting and trapping island wildlife.
- Mining: The initial mining location is the stone quarry outside of town, but eventually a series of underground tunnels will be available. The quarry has stone and simple ores, while the deep island tunnels have rare ores, gems, and even hidden items. The materials can be used for farm building upgrades, tool upgrades, or processed into jewelry, household items, or gifts.
- Woodcutting: A variety of trees grow on Softshoal, some requiring an upgraded axe before they can be cut down. The lumber will be used for building repairs and making crafting stations, as well as for repairing things within the town of Port Meridia.
Until next time!
