Farm'n Demos from Steam Next Fest, CICFxAGF, OW on XBoX, and Oct 21 BokuMobile Events | Posted at 01:56 PM 01 October 2021

Happy Farm'n Friday! Apparently, I had planted several bulbs in the spring bulb area. They sprouted but didn't bloom, which is typical for bulbs in that section of the front yard. The tree that shaded the space was removed earlier this year, and it turns out it may have been a lack of sunshine? And they are autumn blooming bulbs! Well, no wonder I didn't see anything during the springtime! The internet says these are some form of Gladiolus, and they smell so nice. These flowers brighten up the little corner of the yard and drown out the wilted watermelon, sunflowers, and zinnias. I can't pull up the sunflowers yet since the chickadees are still munching on sunflower seeds.

Natsume community manager CeeCee has announced her retirement from handling social media accounts after 13 years. I hope she has a happy harvest with whatever future crops she plants!

It's a lite week for farm'n news. The interns and I have been busy playing the PC version of SoS:PoOT and knocked out a lot of heart event descriptions last weekend. We even have another farmer helping us with Iris' romantic events! Progress!

Steam Next Fest

Starting today, Steam is promoting new and upcoming games during the Steam Next Fest. This online event of game demos and live stream lasts until October 7. Several farming games are participating in the digital game festival, which means free demoooooooos for us!

Also currently on sale on Steam (until October 4) are:

Tencent's BokuMobile

The mobile phone version of Bokujou Monogatari will be shown at this weekend's CICFxAGF expo in Guangzhou, China, (October 1 to 5). Players can visit Booth 5B03 to check out the game.

We still don't have release information about this China-region specific game. The game has been in development for several years by NExT Studios and Tencent, with guidence from Marvelous. We do know is that it has a real-time harvest mechanic to it and in-game currency that can be spent to speed up the wait time for crops and animal harvests. It also contains fishing and mining aspects.

One World Launches on XBox

Harvest Moon: One World was released for XBox One and XBox Series X this week in North America. The standard version of the game costs $49.99 and requires about 2.4 G of console space, and the game plus DLCs retails for $64.99 and requires about 2.9 G of console space.
