Hajimari No Daichi is Out in Japan | Posted at 12:38 PM 24 February 2012 If you didn't know already, the latest version of Harvest Moon in Japan, Hajimari no Daichi is now for sale. The game's plot revolves around your farm development and revival of the local village, which has lost a lot of residents over time. There are 6 marriage candidates for each playable gender:

• For boys: Felicia the cook, Iroha the blacksmith, Michelle the magician, Tina the newspaper delivery girl, Yuri the fashion designer, and the Witch Princess.
• For girls: Allen the hair stylist, Rod the adventurer, Sengoku the reporter, Celka the butler, Neil the animal lover, and Amir the prince

I haven't much time with it so far (as I'm old and tend to fall asleep before midnight) but the mailbox is back as well as the ability to save and load your game at any time. Seed bags carry 4 seeds per bag and fields are in an 8 x 2 layout. The mountain area loops from one path out of the village to another village path and you can catch mountain insects without having to jump or sneak up on them. The kitchen is ready-to-go from the beginning of the game and you'll start with some soup and salad recipes. There's only 3 people living in the village when you begin, Dunhill, Ema, and Hana, but more will move back to town as you go through the game.
