The Ushi No Tane websites specialize in information, FAQs, and guides about the Nintendo console versions of the Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and Legend of the River King video games. These game genres are created and published in Japan by Marvelous (JP). In other regions, you'll find Natsume, XSeed Games/Marvelous (USA), Marvelous (EU), and Rising Star involved in the series' release.

The latest version of the mainstream farming series that have been released in various regions of the world are:

The latest version of River King, in all regions of the world, is River King: Mystic Valley (JP 2007, NA 2008, EU 2009).

Since 2000, Ushi no Tane has been run by a grouchy old lady who happens to be fond of video game agriculture along with two feline helpers: Intern Captain Bootu and Intern Hondo Mewnaka. The website is not officially affiliated, sponsored, endorsed, or employed by the developers of Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, or River King. This is simply a fan site.

Latest Farming Video Game News

E3, June 16 to 18, 2015 | Posted at 02:16 PM 14 June 2015
This last Thursday, the Gameboy Advance game, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town was released on the North American Nintendo Wii U Virtual Console. The game retails for $6.99 and requires 71.2 MB of storage on the Wii U hard drive. E3 starts on Tuesday (June 16), and both Natsume and XSeed Games will be there to show off their latest games. Natsume will be promoting their latest Harvest Moon game, Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories, along with the latest download content for Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. The last DLC pack is scheduled to be released on the 16th, with the European version of the game being published by Nintendo on the 19th. Some more information has been added to the UNoT guide to help the EU players, so they won't have the same head-scratching experience that some of the NA players went through in regards to hybrid crop mutations. The EU version will have the same DLC packs in a similar staggered release that NA had, so they won't be available at EU release. XSeed Games will be at E3 with their Story of Seasons crossover game, Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale. This RPG is a PopoloCrois game with a blend of farming features such as crops and ranching. XSeed has started a blog of their localization of the Popolocrois game so you can learn more about the Nintendo 3DS game: I will be at E3 too, as Natsume is kind enough to invite me along again this year to check out their latest games. I'll also be searching for the weird and odd games that are clamoring for attention among the high-budget games, so keep an eye on the UNoT Twitter account for pictures and E3 news (and hopefully some awesome LA food). I'm leaving Fogu intern Meowjin Boo in charge while I'm away! - Cher (Mmm... Los Angeles come feed my belly...)
