RF 3DS Theme and 3oT 1.2 | Posted at 09:29 AM 09 September 2016A new Nintendo 3DS theme celebrating the 10th anniversary of Rune Factory is now available in the Nintendo Japan 3DS Theme Shop. The theme features bachelorette marriage candidates from various Rune Factory games along with a scene-stealing Woolly. The new theme is 200 Yen and requires 28 blocks of SD space. It featuring Mist (RF1), Mana (RF2), Frey (RF4), Sonja (ToD) and Shara (RF3). No information is available regarding this theme's release in North America or Europe. The next content patch for Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns was also released this week in Japan. This patch is free to download, requires 239 blocks of SD space, and updates the game to version 1.2. It adds reactions from the marriage candidates when you talk to them wearing a specific outfit (although the patch notes don't say what outfits they respond to) and includes two new clothing outfits - the Prince Outfit (Lest) and the Princess Outfit (Frey) from Rune Factory 4. These can be purchased for a fee + materials from Ludus' shop in Lulukoko: The patch also brings in some new events involving the marriage candidates where they tell you about the cultures of their villages, and brings in events where your dad visits your farm after you marry. It also fixes a few in-game bugs; my sheep and alpaca aren't piled within my large cow anymore when I enter their livestock barn. One of the game play additions is a series of 7 tutorial books added to the bookshelf inside your farmhouse. As part of your tasks in the game you're told to ship or harvest a certain category of items. This category grouping is also used in cooking recipes, such as a recipe that simply requires a "vegetable" to make the dish, or when processing items using the maker machines. These new books now explain to players what items are considered part of each group. Some are obvious for seasoned players, such as Jersey Milk being a part of the Milk group, but the list of what is considered a "small fish," "fish," or "giant fish" is rather handy to have. The fish in your rucksack don't specify which group they belong to, and there are several recipes that require a specific size of fish, so having this in-game list will be beneficial.
