The Ushi No Tane websites specialize in information, FAQs, and guides about the Nintendo console versions of the Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and Legend of the River King video games. These game genres are created and published in Japan by Marvelous (JP). In other regions, you'll find Natsume, XSeed Games/Marvelous (USA), Marvelous (EU), and Rising Star involved in the series' release.

The latest version of the mainstream farming series that have been released in various regions of the world are:

The latest version of River King, in all regions of the world, is River King: Mystic Valley (JP 2007, NA 2008, EU 2009).

Since 2000, Ushi no Tane has been run by a grouchy old lady who happens to be fond of video game agriculture along with two feline helpers: Intern Captain Bootu and Intern Hondo Mewnaka. The website is not officially affiliated, sponsored, endorsed, or employed by the developers of Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, or River King. This is simply a fan site.

Skytree Gameplay and Website | Posted at 10:20 AM 21 October 2016
This week Natsume revealed a gameplay narrative video about their upcoming release, Harvest Moon: Skytree Village. With voiceover from Community Manager Ceecee, the 10-minute video goes through a partial day in the game. You'll learn a little bit about the request system (which returns from Lost Valley), crop mutations, and multi seed planting and fertilizing. Two new features are the camera restricted modes Farming View and Overhead View. These options will change the camera so it is above your character's head rather than at the default lower height. These modes should help you see what is going on in your fields a bit easier. Skytree Village is set to be released on November 8 in North America. The official Natsume website for the game was made available last weekend. If you want to learn more about the game, including knowing when the villagers' birthdays are, head over to the Natsume website: Ceecee posted on the Natsume Facebook page that the two special bundles of the game, the Bluebird bundle and the Bobcat bundle, will be for sale starting on November 8 from Natsume's Amazon.com (US) online store. Plushie pre-orders will not be available before that date. XSeed announced that the Capybara pre-order bonus for Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is now available for players who want to order the game at Amazon.com (US). The game isn't available for pre-order from Amazon.ca (Canada) at the moment, but it and the Capybara plushie are available for pre-order at Video Games Plus. The game is still set for a non-specific day sometime in 2017. Maybe the SoS 1 guide will be complete by the time SoS 2 comes out? Aaah, we'll see how that goes. How much of the SoS 2 guide will be done by the time the game is released in English? Aaah, maybe a bit? SoS 2 feels like a smaller game than SoS 1; far less complex but with more random friend events and festivals. The sticking point will be the locked love events that require a going-steady pendant before you can see them. I'll definitely need assistance with those. Until next time! - Cher (Time to take Christmas light inventory and ensure all bulbs work!)
