Receiving Festival Prizes

When you win a competitive festival, you'll be rewarded with prizes. This will typically be a 10 of a random item and a blueprint or cooking recipe set. The prize you'll earn will depends on the type of festival you're competing in and how many times you've won that type of festival.

Even if you've met the requirements to win a specific blueprint, cooking recipe, or clothing pattern, it just allows you the chance to be rewarded with that item. You might still win something that didn't have any special requirements.

Prizes are determined at the time you win. If you are looking for a specific prize, save your game before participating in the festival. If you don't receive it, reload your save game and then enter the festival again to potentially get a different prize.

You'll also increase your shipping brand of the item you used for the competition. Just for participating in the festival, even if you don't win, you'll earn friendship with the villagers.

Branding

Upgrading your item brand will increase the price of the goods that you ship through the Trade Depot. The higher the brand you have for that specific item, the more money you'll earn for selling that item. The festivals that will affect your items brands are the crop festivals, the livestock and poultry festivals, the Fashion Shows, and the Cooking Festival.

Each time you win a festival using a specific product, you'll increase the brand associated with that product. Your first win will earn you the bronze rank, then silver, gold, and finally platinum. Winning a festival with a platinum-ranked item won't earn you any additional benefits.

When it comes to increasing a brand associated with a crop, you'll just affect that specific crop and certain processed goods associated with that crop. For example, winning the festival with a Pineapple will increase your basic Pineapple's ship price, the Golden Pineapple price, and even the price for Pineapple Jam.

For animal contests, brands will affect products associated with that specific animal. Winning the Moo-Moo Festival with your Jersey Cow will increase profits from Jersey Milk, Jersey Yogurt, HQ Jersey Cheese, and even Roquefort Cheese, but it will not affect normal Milk or Zebu Milk shipping profits.

With the cooking festival, winning entries will increase the brand associated with that category of cooking recipe (e.g., win using a Turnip Salad and you'll increase profits with all Salad category dishes you ship).

The Fashion Show brand increases will affect your clothing outfit and accessory sales, but not the profit earned from fabrics and yarn. Those are affected by the brand associated with the specific furry animal: Sheep, Suffolk, Alpaca, Brown Alpaca, Llama, Rabbit, Angora Rabbit, or Camel.

After you have won all of the blueprints, cooking recipe sets, or clothing patterns available from a festival victory, you'll simply be rewarded with 10 of a random item.

Clothing Patterns

Clothing patterns can earned by participating and winning the Fashion Show. You need to construct and place a Sewing Studio before you can win clothing patterns. The patterns come in sets, giving you more than one pattern per set. The only exception is with the Blue Chef's Outfit that is won from the Cooking Festival.

One prize that isn't listed is the Heterochromia Eyes, which is a eye style option that you can set for your character. This eye choice will give you one blue eye and one yellow eye. This becomes available to you as one of the random festival rewards after you have won the Fashion Show 10 times.
