Farm House

As you are just starting out on your farming adventure, Uncle Frank has set you up with a farm to work on. The farm area comes with a house so you don't have to sleep in the barn, although the house is a bit run down.

The beginning farm house has a bed that you'll use to sleep for the day, a light that turns off when you walk out the door (and you have to turn back on manually), a seasonal calendar that lists birthdays and festivals, and a bookshelf that contains guidebooks, important letters, achievement trophies, and your farm report.

On Spring 15 you'll unlock Lulukoko Village. The next day, Ludus will stop by and taking pity on your pathetic accommodations will offer to remodel your house for you. All you need to do is collect 20 Small Lumber, 20 Lumber, and 5000 G (or 3250 G in Seedling Mode). The Small Lumber comes from hitting Twigs with your axe, and the Lumber is from hitting Branches with your axe. You've to collect the materials yourself, as Log House in North Westown won't be open to sell you materials until after your house has been upgraded.

New features will be part of your Standard House. You'll find a kitchen where you can cook food, and a clothing closet where you can change your hat, glasses, and clothing; changing your hair style and eye color is handled by Witchie in Lulukoko.

The Standard House also contains storage for your tools and items. The Toolbox hold any extra tools that you aren't using, but the Storage Box is the all-important storage that stores everything else such as seeds, crops, cooking recipe ingredients, wild items, fish, and so on. The Storage Box is both your general store and a refrigerator. You can go to Ludus' shop in Lulukoko to upgrade the amount of space available to hold items in your Storage Box.

You cannot control the interior layout of the house, just its visual style.

Second House Upgrade

Now that you have upgraded your house, Ludus will have the next upgrade available. This time there are three styles to chose from: Western, Eastern, and Tropical. You can pick whichever house you like the best. Your second house remodel requires 150,000 G (or 105,000 G in Seedling Mode). This house upgrade also adds a bathroom inside your house where you can restore some of your stamina hearts. This house expansion will be required before you can get married

This house requires you to supply 50 Brick, 45 Stone, 35 Maple Branch, and 30 Chamomile. Maple Branch can be found on the ground in Westown all year long or you can buy it from Log House for 580 G each when Westown is Town Link Rank C or higher. Chamomile is available on the ground in Spring, Summer, and Fall in Westown or you can also buy it from Gulliver's for 120 G each in Spring, Summer, and Fall.

You can also grow your own Bamboo stalks to chop down by getting Tsuyukusa to Town Link Rank B and then buying the seedlings at the 99 G and Up store for 450 G each. Bamboo planted on a regular Field take 20 days to mature, and on a Soft Field grow in 14 days.

This style requires you to supply 50 Lumber, 5 White Cloth, 20 Red Quill, and 20 Green Quill. You can make the White Cloth by placing Wool into the Textile Mill Farm Circle. You can also buy White Cloth from Gulliver's in Westown for 1280 G once Westown is Town Link Rank D or higher.

The colored quills are free on the ground in Lulukoko. The Red Quill can be found in either South or North Lulukoko, but the Green Quill is only in North Lulukoko. These are also for sale at Jambalaya general store in North Lulukoko for 680 G after you have Lulukoko at Town Link Rank C or higher.

Remodeling

After you complete your second upgrade, you can remodel to change the style of the exterior or interior of your house. Ludus has discounted remodeling options if you want to switch your style. The exterior and interior can be remodeled separately, allowing you to mix and match styles.

Interior Remodeling: 36,000 G

Third House Upgrade

This expanion will be required to have a child once you're married, although it is available before your marriage. It adds a larger dining table to the interior of your house and increases the size of your kitchen (although the kitchen doesn't benefit from a size upgrade; it still works the same as before). Your house upgrade will cost you 300,000 G (or 210,000 G in Seedling Mode).

Large Western House

This style requires you to supply 70 Lumber, 70 Brick, 50 Maple Branch, 20 Red Cloth, and 30 Mint. The Mint is found on the ground on your farm or in Westown. You can also buy it from Gulliver's in Westown for 120 G each except for in Winter season.

Large Tropical House

This style needs you to collect 70 Lumber, 5 White Cloth, 10 Yellow Cloth, 50 Green Quill, and 50 Blue Quill. It's a lot of quills, but you can buy them from Jambalaya in North Lulukoko for 680 G each when Lulukoko is Town Link Rank C or higher.
