Fruit, Maple, Bamboo, and Tea Trees
Trees are easy to grow and don't require any watering. All you've to do is plant a tree seedling on one-half of a field and then let it grow. One it matures, the tree will produce its goods during a specific season and then go dormant for the remainder of the year. You won't have to replant the seedling unless you chop down the tree or it is destroyed by severe weather. If you do want to destroy a tree you've planted, hit it with your axe over and over until it falls down and you get lumber. You could also use the Funtime Work Bench to pick up the field and store it in your Farm Circle inventory, which will destroy any crops or trees planted on the field.
Tree seedlings can be purchased from town shops, but another way to obtain them is by participating in the Fruit Festiva on Fall 26. On this day the villagers of Lulukoko will give you fruit; either crop fruit, wild fruit, or tree fruit. If you receive a tree fruit from a villager for a tree you aren't growing on your farm yet, simply put the gift into your Seed Maker and then plant the seedling. This is a good way to obtain Coconut before you unlock the seedling at Jambalaya in Lulukoko. Otherwise you have to unlock Coconut by either shipping 200 tree fruit to Lulukoko or by reaching Town Link Rank B with Lulukoko. Any tree crafted with the Seed Maker will not unlock the seed in the shops.
Trees will grow faster when planted on Soft Fields rather than the basic Field. Soft Fields also regrow fruit during their active fruiting season faster.
You can add fertilizer to the tree to increase its Star Rank qualities. This is important to do with trees because if the qualities reach 0% during a hurricane or snow storm, the next morning you'll find a stump left where your tree used to be. Fruit trees cannot produce golden crops, but they can produce giant crops. You'll see this when the fruit on the tree are larger than normal.
There are five special tree types that don't produce fruit:
- The Maple Tree produces Maple Syrup during Spring when you attach a Sap Bucket to the Maple Tree. Each bucket is 300 G at Straw Market in Westown and disappears off the tree on Summer 1. You will have to attach a new Sap Bucket every Spring.
- The Bamboo plant produces Bamboo Shoots during Spring. Just pick them up off the field when they're ready. You can also chop down Bamboo to obtain Bamboo building material.
- Broadleaf Trees produce Small Branches when chopped down that can be chopped into Small Lumber.
- Softwood Trees produce Branches when chopped down that can be chopped into Lumber.
- Tea Bushes produce Tea Leaves based on the season you currently are in, but they go dormant during Winter. The Tea Leaves sprout again starting the following Spring.
There are no trees available in the game that will produce Black Branches.
Trees can be grown in the underground cellar and will produce fruit if the appropriate Sun Stone is set in the sun alter inside the cellar. The cellar's spaces are always normal Field.

Broadleaf Seedlings and Softwood Seedlings are available for 300 G each at all three shops as soon as you unlock the village the shop is located in. On a normal field it takes 21 days for the trees to mature. On a Soft Field it takes 15 days.
