Insta-Buildings
The wacky inventor Doc will appear in your game after you have helped Rowan with the Spring Crystal. This slipper-wearing weirdo is crafty at making construction objects. He will give you the ARCHITECT item and a free Animal Barn Insta-Building. To continue with the game's storyline, you'll need to set the barn somewhere in the valley.
Architect
The ARCHITECT contraption will allow you to place buildings and other decorative objects in the valley. To launch ARCHITECT, open your main menu by pressing the X Button, then press the Left Shoulder or Right Shoulder Buttons until you reach the Tools Tab in your bag. The press the A Button when you have ARCHITECT highlighted.
Time will NOT pause while you are in the ARCHITECT's building mode. The day will progress forward as normal. You won't be able to use the B Button to jump, as it is now used to exit out of building mode. You also can't exit the valley.
The items that you've had Doc construct will be in your X Button menu. Once selected, you can rotate the item that you're holding by pressing the X Button again. The item's area will be outlined on the ground in a blue-colored box. If you see a red-colored box on the ground, then the area you are trying to place the item in can't fit that item. Typically that means there is something in your way such as a rock or a tree. You'll have to exit the building mode to take care of the obstacle.
Once you are satisfied with your decorations, press the B Button to exit and return to normal mode.
Doc's Inventory
Doc's shop will be available when he is in Moon Valley on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. He has a wide variety of objects that you can make for decorating the valley or the interior of your house.
To buy an item, you'll need to have the required materials in your bag and have the money to pay for its creation. For the buildings, Doc will add the Insta-Building to your bag, where you can then use ARCHITECT to place it in the valley. For furniture, the upgrade will instantly be added to your house, and the old one permanently removed. Flooring, drapes, and wallpaper are also added to your house, but you have the option to buy the default styles (Wooden Wallpaper, Vibrant Green Drapes, and Hardwood Floor).
Buildings
The level 1 Animal Barn will hold 5 animals, and the level 1 Chicken Coop will hold 5 birds. You can upgrade the barn to level 2, which holds 7 total animals, but the Chicken Coop doesn't have an upgrade option. You can build multiple barns though.
The Brick paths appear as you complete Brutus' personal requets.
