The Spring Crystal
The goddess is glad that you have her bracelet back, but she doesn't have the power to make the endless winter go away. To use the bracelet she requires the three Season Crystals, and unfortunately, the three crystals vanished while the Harvest Goddess was powerless. If she had a little bit more power, she could make a Spring Crystal. The sprites rally together to collect the items she needs. The goddess thanks you, as she is happy to see the Harvest Sprites working together. She'll let you know that you can meet with her between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Soon afterward you'll have another night time dream vision. The Harvest Goddess tells you that the red Harvest Sprite has the recipe she needs to regain her strength.
The next morning, Rowan appears very freaked out! He warns you about a strange person that has appeared, then the sprite vanishes as someone knocks on your door. The "weirdo" that Rowan was telling you about is Doc. He introduces himself as an inventor looking for ideas. He believes you to be an inventor too, and he gives you an Insta-Building and an Architect. Before he leaves, Doc gives you a really creepy smile and encourages you to explore what the Insta-Building and Architect can do. Once you've built something really great, go talk to him in Moon Valley. You'll find him there on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
To follow Doc's instructions, find a spot in the valley that is clear of trees and at least 7 squares by 5 squares of space. Then go into your Bag and select the Architect item to enter Building Mode. You can then press the X Button to choose the buildings in your bag (in this case, the Animal Barn), then place it in the valley. Rotating the building can be done by holding it and pressing the X Button. If you see the building's floor outline in red blocks, then it won't fit in the spot you want to place it. Clear the obstacles or fill in areas with Soil to make room for the building.
A few days after you place the barn, in the morning you'll be greeted by Hunter, who is looking for a cow that wandered off his farm. He wonders if you've a barn in the area, so you show him the building you recently placed. It turns out his missing cow has made a home in your new barn! Hunter figures that he'll just leave her here in your barn, since she likes it so much. You'll get to name your new cow (up to 10 letters), and Hunter will give you a Milker, a Brush, and some Animal Feed. He also suggests that you build a Windmill so you can make different kinds of fodder for your animals to eat. Finally, he gives you a Pitchfork so you can clean the barn when you notice dirty patches. You can even use the barn dirt as compost for your crops!
Before he leaves, Hunter tells you he'll visit on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. You can buy more animals from him when he's in shopkeeper mode.
Hunter sells animals, but not animal supplies. After you get your cow, Sam will start to sell Animal Feed (20 G), Great Animal Feed (70 G), Animal Medicine (5000 G), and Chicken Medicine (2500 G).
Once your cow reaches half a heart, you'll get a visit in the morning from Rowan and the red Harvest Sprite, Calvin. The animal sprite will give you the recipe for Strawberry Jam, which is one of the Harvest Goddess' favorite foods. To make the Strawberry Jam, you'll need 1) a Kitchen, 2) Strawberries, and 3) Sugar.
If you haven't done so already, meet up with Doc to complete the Make A Barn request. The inventor will activate his building shop so you can purchase a Kitchen for your house. The Kitchen requires 20 Softwood Lumber and 1000 G. You can obtain Softwood Lumber by cutting down the pine trees in the valley.
Next, you'll need to grow Strawberries. The seeds are for sale at Sam's shop for 20 G each. The plant will take 11 days to mature, and will regrow its berries every 7 days.
The last ingredient you'll need is Sugar to make the Strawberry Jam. The restaurateur Hanna and her daughter Emily will unlock after you've collected 5 Milk from the cow that Hunter gave to you. When Hanna is in shopkeeper mode, Mondays and Tuesdays between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, Hanna will sell cooking ingredients. You can buy Sugar from her for 30 G each.
When cooking the Strawberry Jam, you need to have all of the ingredients in your Bag. The kitchen won't take the ingredients from your refrigerator storage.
Take the Strawberry Jam back to the Harvest Goddess. After receiving the jam, the goddess is now strong enough to create the Spring Crystal! The Harvest Goddess creates the crystal and attaches it to her bracelet. Now she has the power to bring back the spring season, and tells you that Spring season will always arrive after Winter season is over.
Note that when you unlock the Spring Crystal, the snow won't instantly melt and become Spring. It takes a few days for the snow to melt away. If you are late in Spring, there might not be enough time for the snow to go away before Summer comes along and the snow returns. You'll see Spring at the beginning of next year.
The Harvest Sprites want to revive all of the seasons. Next up is the Summer Crystal. The Harvest Goddess needs you to talk to the Harvest God, but to reach him you'll need to climb a very tall tree; a tree so tall that it reaches the heavens. Rowan knows of a fellow sprite that has a tree seedling like that, but that sprite is still asleep.
You'll receive the requests Meet the Harvest God and Find the Skytree Seedling.
