Product Specialities and the Unmanned Store

As you work through the game's story, the Village Hall will unlock two new options for selling products. One is the village specialities board, and the other is the unmanned store.

Hot-Selling Items

The bulletin board outside the front door of the building is where pictures of the local products that are in high demand from customers are posted. This board becomes available at the beginning of Chapter 5. Selling high-demand products will earn 10% more money during its high-demand week.

A week is Sunday through Saturday.

On the board you'll find the current week's hot products, with the next week's hot products listed below. Once Sunday comes around, the bottom two are bumped to the top, with a new set of two random products scheduled for the following week. Qualifying items are crops, animal products, or fish.

The board can list crops and flower mutations that are not naturally triggered in your current season, which you can force to grow by using seasonal fertilizers on the plants in your field. For example, if the board indicates that Princess Eye is a hot-selling item, and you aren't in fall season to trigger the mutation, you can use Fall Fertilizer on the Angel Lantern plants for a chance to trigger the mutation in your current season.

The community market booth is located between the Village Hall Bridge and Jeanne's house. Open from 6:00 am until 3:00 pm, this little spot will recommend a category of items to sell to the public. The category will remain for about 3 days or until you submit up to three goods to sell at the booth. If your submitted goods match the category, then you'll earn the normal shipping rate plus a bonus:

  • Donate a 0-star item, receive a 18% bonus if sold
  • Donate a 1-star item, receive a 45% bonus if sold
  • Donate a 2-star item, receive a 90% bonus if sold
  • Donate a 3-star item, receive a 180% bonus if sold

Once you confirm your offering to the Unmanned Store, it is locked for the remainder of the day.

If the supplied item does not match or is not sold, at the end of the day you'll receive a measly 1 G per good. A new category will be assigned for the next day. There isn't a guarantee that an item will sell, even if it matches the booth category.

The items donated to the community booth can be different star rank of the same matching category. I find that donating mulitples of the same item results in a better sale than three like-items of different star rank.

Some of the categories are obvious, such as "Silver Dorado," but others are intended to be a vague riddle. Some riddles may have one matching item, others may have multiple solutions. For example:

  • A long, blue vegetables = Crystal Pineapple
  • A long, green vegetable = Leek, Zucchini
  • A long, purple vegetable = Eggplant, Long Sweet Potato, Purple Aspargus
  • A round, black vegetable = Sieglinde, Rock Eggplant
  • A round, purple vegetable = Beet, Eggplant
  • A round, red vegetable = Beet, Tomato
  • A round, white fruit = White Berry
  • A round fruit found in winter = Orange
  • A round summer vegetable = Pineapple
  • A round vegetable found in fall = Peach Pineapple
  • A square, green vegetable = Green Bell Pepper
  • A square, orange fruit = Carrot
  • A purple flower found in summer = Pink Daisy
  • An orange flower found in fall = Orange Daisy
