Lloyd and Sophie

Remember, you must first 1) get married to someone other than Lloyd/Sophie, 2) seen their 6-Heart events, and 3) told them both to "Go for it!" when prompted for romance advice.

Rival Event 1

Sophie is taking a study break when Lloyd stops by for a visit with the mayor. Sophie tells him that her dad is not around at the moment. Felix has been so busy with town management and the bazaar that Sophie wishes there was something she could do to help with the mountain of work. Hopefully, all the studying she's doing will help in some way!

Lloyd feels that is a noble endeavor, but reminds Sophie that she's not much help if she's exhausted. He notes the tired look on her face from staying up all night! Sophie stresses about not being useful if everyone is worried about her health. Lloyd gets an idea and attaches a flower barrette to Sophie's hair. Now people's attention will be drawn to the hair accessory and not the bags under Sophie's eyes. Sophie blushes and thanks Lloyd for the great idea.

The next time he stops by, Lloyd expects that Sophie won't need the floral distraction. She promises to take better care of herself.

The floral hair clip is only seen in Sophie's hair during this event.

Rival Event 2

Sophie strolls through town, proudly wearing her new flower hairpin, as she makes her way to Lloyd's house. Once inside, Lloyd looks pretty busy; in fact, he's really swamped with work. Sophie volunteers to assist.

Lloyd sends her over to a table and asks her to take a look at the Iron Ore sitting on the table in the room. It takes her a little bit, but Sophie does find the ore, along with the order form Lloyd wants her to use to ensure the proper amount of Iron Ore is in his inventory. Sophie successfully confirms that all is well.

After the tasks are complete, Lloyd is pleased that it went smoother than expected. Sophie is impressed that Lloyd can mentally keep track of so much! He replies that he tries only to handle as much as he knows he can easily remember, which makes sense with as much traveling as Lloyd has done. Sophie wonders if this organization project was because Lloyd was preparing to travel. Nah, it is just a habit to keep things arranged so he can set out on a trip whenever he wants to leave.

Sophie becomes concerned. Could he possibly leave as early as tomorrow? Lloyd wonders if she means he wants him gone by sunrise, but laughs at Sophie's panicked expression. It was just a joke! Lloyd thanks her for helping him out.

(With all the running around, Sophie didn't notice her flower hair accessory fell onto the table...)

Rival Event 3

Lloyd is observing the found hairpin on his table when Sophie enters his house. He mentions how the bazaar has grown lately. Oh yes, Sophie is excited that the marketplace is lively again, and Lloyd should know since his stall has been there when the bazaar was struggling. She's thrilled that the bazaar will grow to have more stalls and customers.

He pauses and tells her that it sounds like the bazaar would be just fine even if his booth weren't there anymore. It is no longer an issue when one stall closes, as another will take its place soon enough. Sophie is a bit shocked at Lloyd's statement and changes the subject to asking him what recipes he would enjoy during Starlight Night; Lloyd tells her not to worry about it. She then tells him that she wants to show him a really rare flower, but it is currently out of season, but when it does...

Lloyd interrupts Sophie and tells her not to make future plans with a wandering traveler such as himself. Sophie apologizes for being so forward and sadly leaves. As she heads out, Lloyd glances at the flower hairpin for a brief moment.

Rival Event 4

Lloyd is visiting the mayor's house, though he seems nervous about something. When Sophie sees him, she tries to explain that Felix isn't here at the moment. Lloyd replies that he is actually here to see her.

He pauses for a bit and nervously tells Sophie that the meal he would like at Starlight Night is paella, his favorite food. Lloyd is also curious about the rare flower that Sophie mentioned. When she tells him it still isn't in season, Lloyd asks that she show it to him when it is in season. Does this mean Lloyd isn't going to leave after all? He can't hide it any longer and tells Sophie that she can continue to make future plans with him; he isn't going anywhere.

Sophie is excited because she has made a whole bunch of plans she hasn't told him about! Even though he'll be busy, she promises that they'll be fun. Lloyd tells her that being around her is its own thrill, and one he doesn't typically experience when traveling. Sophie can't wait to spend more time together. Lloyd returns the hair accessory to Sophie and confirms he feels the same way.
