A former tourist to Zephyr Town, Maple moved here permanently after enjoying the ambiance and people of the town. She now lives and works at Sonia and Student's hotel as the person responsible for guest requests and housekeeping. Maple can be a little clumsy and often makes mistakes, but she always bounces back on her feet and with a smile.

In the original Nintendo DS game, this character's English name was Daisy.

Introduction Event

Maple greets you as you enter the Sunnywood Hotel. She notes that, like you, she too recently moved to Zephyr Town. While her family stays in the city, Maple lives and works here at the hotel. She loves this town so much, with its refreshing atmosphere and spinning windmills. Maple knew right away that she just had to live here! She asks how you like the town.

Option 1: It's great!

She is elated that you feel the same way! Everyone in town is incredibly kind, plus there are lots of cute hideaways that you are sure to enjoy if you discover them.

Option 2: Jury's still out.

Maple looks disappointed that you have a different opinion, but you have only just arrived. She assumes it won't be very long until you grow to love this place like she does.

Maple realizes she has work to do, and as she says goodbye and steps away, she collides with a couch in the lobby. Ouch! She picks herself up, embarrassed, but otherwise okay. Maple explains that she is a bit clumsy. Despite her efforts to stay on the straight and narrow, these types of accidents still happen a lot. Before she leaves, Maple hopes that the two of you can hang out again later.

Flowering Beauty

Maple was tasked with creating a flower bouquet for one of the hotel's guest rooms, but she's having a difficult time picking which flowers to use. They're all so pretty! Maple asks that you bring her 10 flowers. Maple will accept any flower that can be grown on the farm; wildflowers (e.g., Toy Flower, Magic Blue, etc.) do not qualify for this task.

Bring her the required flowers to receive 9 1-Star Tea Seedlings.

 

2-Heart Event

You overhear Stuart talking with Maple about how great a job she has been doing. After he leaves, Maple gleefully tells you Stuart's compliments are just the motivation she needs to do an even better job! Off she goes, singing a little tune while zipping around the lobby, when suddenly you hear a crash in the distance. Maple bumped into Gabriel's painting and almost damaged the artwork.

Option 1: Are you okay?

Her heart is beating fast, but otherwise she's okay. You're really sweet to ask!

Option 2: Is the painting okay?

Yeah, the painting is fine. Her heart feels like it is going to beat right out of her chest, though!

Maple explains that her feather duster was a gift from her older brother. It means a lot to her, which leads her to go a little crazy when she's clearing away dust. It feels like her whole family is with her when she uses it, supporting her task. Maple feels calmer after talking to you. Hopefully you can stop by and chat again!

Well-Used Watering Can

Remember the story about Maple's duster? She finally correlated it to how important your watering can is to you. Both tools are something you two have in common! Maple asks that you use your watering can to water 30 crops. Easy enough! Complete the task and return to her to receive 9 3-Star Hibiscus Seeds.

 

4-Heart Event

You see Stuart and Maple discussing an unfortunate event. While Stuart tells her it isn't a big deal, Maple clearly feels bad about what happened. Maple returns to her cleaning duties.

After she leaves, Stuart explains it was just a minor mishap. He asks that you go cheer her up.

Maple is in one of the hotel rooms, feeling down on her luck. She explains that when she was washing the linens, she used too much laundry detergent. The whole laundry room is full of suds! Maple is frustrated at her clumsiness and wonders if it may be time to throw in the towel with this job. Her family has been asking when she would move back to the city. It may be time to give up...

Option 1: You are a bit clumsy...

Oh jeez, you think so too? Maple has a lot to think about and asks that you leave so she can finish cleaning.

Option 2: Just do what you love!

You're right! If she keeps this job, she'll get right back up after every mistake! While she doesn't want to be a burden to the innkeepers, Maple does want to keep trying for their sake. She guessed that Stuart was the one who sent you to cheer her up. Maple needs to finish her cleaning, but afterwards, the two of you can get some tea and snacks.

Modivational Snacks

Maple messed up again. While Stuart has told her not to worry, she feels really sad about it. She needs some cheering up! Bring her 1 3-Star dessert. You'll need to use the kitchen in your farmhouse to craft this sweet meal. Some easy options are Pudding (1 milk + 1 egg) and Cookies (1 Flour + 1 Egg). The better your ingredient quality, the better star rank of the resulting dish. Bring her the dessert to receive 9 5-Star Daisy Seed.

 

6-Heart Event

The hotel is crazy full of people! Maple notices you walk in and says that Zephyr Town has become more popular by the day! She then notices a guest off to the side who looks a little lost. Maple asks if he needs any help, and the guest replies that he doesn't but he does have a question about sightseeing recommendations. With the front desk staff looking so busy, he wasn't sure who to ask. Maple has ideas and gives some insights to the hotel guest.

After he leaeves, Sonia and Stuart thank Maple for stepping in to help. Sonia tells Maple that her consideration for guests is one of her many strengths. She also has a keen eye for people and know when to give the right assistance. Stuart and Sania's compliments are a big self-esteem boost for Maple.

Now that she's on break, Maple and you walk up to the mountains. She thanks you for being there for her. Maple loves working at the hotel, but lacked the confidence she needed to stick around. You are the reason she has made it this far and hopes that the two of you can remain close. How do you feel about her?

Option 1: I've fallen in love with you.

She tilts her head to the side with happiness. Maple takes a deep breath and loudly announces that she loves you as well.

Option 2: You're a great friend.

Maple is super-duper pleased that she met you! We'll be friends forever!

It's up to you whether you want to be an official pair or just best buddies. There is no penalty for telling every marriage candidate that you love them; it merely changes the day-to-day dialog to feel more affectionate compared to being great friends. The candidate's character description in the Main Menu will note they are either "your newfound love" or "your trusted friend." You can continue to raise their affection to the maximum 10 hearts and propose marriage whether friends or lovers.

Making Something Special!

Maple wants to show gratitude to Stuart and Sonia by cooking them a nice meal and asks you for some fruit. She wants 1 4-Star fruit, either Apple (autumn and winter), Blueberry (autumn), Cherry (spring), Pineapple (summer), or Strawberry (spring). You'll need to utilize Fertilizer and the blue windmill to increase the star rank of the plants. In exchange you'll recieve the recipe for Cherry Pie.

 

Marriage Proposal

Eeeeeeeeee of course she'll marry you! Maple didn't realize that you felt the same as she did about you. We have to share the good news with Sonia and Stuart first, though.

Stuart is a little sad that Maple will be leaving them at the Sunnywood Hotel. Sonia reminds him that this is a happy occasion. Though Stuart sees Maple as one of their grandchildren, there is no need to be sad because it means she'll be living in Zephyr Town as a full-time resident! The fact that Maple will be a proper neighbor cheers Stuart up a bit.

At the scenic outlook in the Mountains, Maple confesses that she assumed nobody would ever want to spend the rest of their lives with her on account of her clumsiness. Your marriage proposal made that thought go away, as Maple feels that she's the best version of herself when she's with you.

The marriage proposal event will last all day, ending at 7:00 pm in front of your house.
