The daughter of Mayor Felix, Sophie is more level-headed than her enthusiastic father. She is kind, polite, and tries her best to help everyone in Zephyr Town. She would make an excellent mayor when the time comes for Felix to retire.

Sophie notices you walking nearby and heads over to give you a hearty "hello." She's excited to see what you accomplish with the old farm. Sophie then notices Wilbur walking by, striking up a conversation with him for a brief moment before he leaves. She turns her attention back to you, but is soon interrupted by Sylvia and Laurie. The kids are off to pick flowers. Sophie tells them she would love to see the flowers when they're done. The two girls then run off to murder some plants.

Sophie apologizes for the interruptions. You see, she believes a warm greeting can bring joy to anyone's day. She learned this from watching her father chat with the other villagers. Oh, by the way, please let her know if you ever need anything. With that, Sophie wishes you a good day.

1-Heart Unlock Request

Sickle Practice

This task unlocks on your second day on the farm. Sophie will visit in the morning and give you a Sickle, then request you bring her 20 Weed to help you practice using the tool. Cut the wild weeds on your farm, then talk to her with the weeds in your bag to complete the task.

Most of the candidates have their 1-heart request once they reach 1 heart of friendship; Sophie's is an exception because it is a tutorial-style request.

 

2-Heart Event

You walk in to discover Sophie scolding Felix for breaking another plate. The mayor wanted to help with the housework and assumed he could at least wash some dishes. Sophie reminds him that she is in charge of housework because he's busy with mayoral duties, but she wonders what will happen to the chores if she ever gets married and moves away. Felix is stunned; when did his daughter get engaged?! Sophie tells him that nobody is getting married right now, but she's concerned Felix might not be able to take care of the housework without her.

Option 1: What if you helped each other?

As in, Sophie would help Felix with his work? Wow, that's a great idea!

Option 2: Housework might not be his thing.

Felix is a bit bummed you have that opinion of his skills with household chores. You just made Sophie's point for her.

You suggest a pivot; perhaps it is time for Sophie to help Felix with his duties? Well, that's an idea they hadn't considered. Felix asks if Sophie would help with his work, which in turn would give him some free time to improve his housekeeping techniques. Sophie is eager to help with the town development! Besides, she wants to help the town that Grandma worked so hard to build. They both thank you for your wonderful insight into their new father-daughter bonding activity.

3-Heart Unlock Request

Some Herbs, Please?

Sophie is lamenting how Felix used all the seasonings in the spice rack. A lot of her recipes require those ingredients! Could you bring her 20 Herbs of any star rank to replace what was wasted? This should be pretty easy for you to clear; simply walk around and pick up a total of 20 Chamomile, Lavender, and Mint, then talk to Sophie when you're done. She'll give you the Herb Rice Porridge recipe.

 

4-Heart Event

Sophie asks if you would come with her back to the house. Felix has made a batch of pastries and requested that you be a taste tester. Sophie detects your caution, but assures that she walked Felix through the recipe. The pastries should be okay, she hopes.

In the kitchen, Felix shows off his plate of pastries. You and Sophie give them a try. Felix asks that you give him your honest opinion.

Option 1: It's sooo good!

Even Felix can detect the sarcasm in that statement. Sophie cautions you about trying to be kind...

Option 2: It was made with... love?

Sophie agrees; it is easy to see that Felix put his whole heart into making these pastries. Felix also agrees, though he recognizes that his efforts don't translate into a flavorful treat.

Sensing his disappointment, Sophie reminds him that this is a huge improvement over his last cooking attempt. Felix replies that while he started this housework journey to help Sophie, he's learned a lot that helps him in his role as a mayor. He has gained thoughtful insight into the daily lives of the residents. Felix and Sophie thank you, especially now that they haven't had to buy new dishes in a while.

Back outside, Sophie blushes and says she had a lot of fun sitting at the table with you.

5-Heart Unlock Request

In a Pickle!

Sophie is fond of pickled foods, so her dad wants to make her the best pickles ever. She asks that you bring her 1 3-Star pickled food for Felix to use as a point of reference. Pickled foods are available in all three windmills; it just depends what you want to pickle to know which windmill to utilize.

You will need Vinegar to make a bottles of pickles, which you can do by processing Rice in the red windmill or buying it from Felix (or Ronaldo's) stalls during the bazaar. Purchased Vinegar only has 0.5-Star of quality, which can negatively impact the resulting pickles. There are other ways to getting Vinegar, such as completing title tasks to receive mailbox rewards.

Bring the pickled 3-Star vegetable back to Sphie to receive 3 Apple Seedlings (3-Star).

 

6-Heart Event

You see Sophie talking town business with Harold, who compliments her on how she has been a big help around town.

After he leaves, Sophie asks if you have some free time to chat. The two of you head out to the waterfall area, where Sophie explains that ever since she started helping Felix with his responsibilities, the town feels different. It's like a whole new place to Sophie. She admits this fresh breeze started after you moved to Zephyr Town; things are more vibrant with you around. This little village has a bright future!

On the topic of the future, Sophie blushes and asks how you feel about her.

Option 1: I've fallen in love with you.

Sophie announces that she loves you, too! She's glad you'll always be around to help her look after this little town. She hopes the two of you can keep making memories here.

Option 2: You're a great friend.

That's wonderful! She wouldn't change that for anything.

It's up to you whether you want to be an official pair or just best buddies. There is no penalty for telling every marriage candidate that you love them; it merely changes the day-to-day dialog to feel more affectionate compared to being great friends. The candidate's character description in the Main Menu will note they are either "your newfound love" or "your trusted friend." You can continue to raise their affection to the maximum 10 hearts and propose marriage whether friends or lovers.

Fondue Fancy!

Sophie wants to treat Felix to a meal that he loves as thanks for helping around the house. She needs ingredients for Cheese Fondue and requests that you bring her 1 4-Star crop that is either Broccoli, Potato, Asparagus, Red Bell Pepper, Carrot, Pumpkin, or Common Mushroom. In return she'll give you the recipe for Spicy Currry.

 

Marriage Proposal

Of course, she'll marry you! But first, she feels it is vital to get Felix's blessing.

Upon hearing about Sophie's upcoming nuptials, Felix becomes a mixed bag of emotions. At first, he's upset, then loudly proclaims that you have his blessing, then returns to sobbing about his daughter leaving him. Sophie gently reminds him that your farm is just a short way down the road, which calms Felix's nerves. The mayor demands that you take good care of his daughter.

At the scenic overlook in the Mountains, Sophie admits that she has been thinking of marrying you for a while. Briefly, she wonders if this whole experience is merely a dream and locks arms with you. The warmth of your arm helps her to realize this is not one of her fantasies. Sophie says she loves you with a kiss.

The marriage proposal event will last all day, ending at 7:00 pm in front of your house.
