A mysterious resident of the Hotel, Samir's mannerisms and attire hint at his special background. He moves to Zephyr town several seasons after the protagonist takes over the old farm, making an appearance once the town's bazaar becomes city sized. Samir has lived a sheltered life back in his home country and is grateful for the chance to learn about different cultures. He may give the impression of someone who is reserved because of his observant nature.

In the original Nintendo DS game, this character's English name was Amir.

Samir will become available once your bazaar is rank 4 (City Bazaar).

You walk in to greet Samir, but he responds by asking what you are doing. Are you lost? This is his room.

Option 1: Let's hang out!

He is a bit confused until he remembers you are the farmer Felix introduced to him the other day. Samir asks what you do as a farmer. He finds your explanations fascinating. After your mighty tales of farming funtimes, Samir notes that he could tell you do enjoy your work as a farmer. Feel free to visit later if you're interested.

Option 2: Oops, my bad...

Samir asks that you see yourself out. He doesn't trust you.

Cat-aloging

He wants you to search for a cat that he saw. Not to pet it, but to ensure that the feline is okay. You can find the orange cat behind the Sunnywood Hotel, in the group of trees along the path that runs past the building's backside. Report back to Samir after finding the cat to receive 10 Pet Treats.

 

2-Heart Event

Samir is surrounded by the local kids, who are bombarding him with questions about his hometown. The kids hit him with inquiries left and right, which puts Samir in an awkward situation. When you arrive, he asks for assistance.

Option 1: I got this!

You chat with the kids for a moment. They realize they may have been a little too nosy and apologize to Samir, who responds that it is he who should be apologizing! He doesn't have a lot of experience with interacting with people, in general.

Option 2: Good luck!

Samir really needs your help! He can't handle this situation by himself.

Sonia suggests to the kids that they go play somewhere else. After they leave, Samir admits that he doesn't have an issue with answering their questions. In fact, the kids remind him of his little sister back home. They didn't play together often because of Samir's studies. Sonia and Stuart suggest that Samir send his sister a postcard and a souvenir from Zephyr Town. That's a good idea! Though Sonia describes Samir as a kind, older sibling. Samir points out that he does have other brothers and sisters, but stops short of talking about them anymore. Stuart and Sonia tell him that they would love to learn more about his background.

Real-Life Grasshoppers

Samir wants to know about bugs from an avid bug catcher. Arata was telling him about bugs, and now Samir is curious to see for himself. He requests that you catch 10 grasshoppers of any star rank. These insects are around all year long, often by the entrance of your farm during the daytime on sunny days. You can also find them in the center stage area of the Equestrian Park. Bring him back the bugs he requests to receive 1 2-Star Cacao Tree Seedling.

Samir has stopped by to see if you would be interested in going for a walk around town with him.

Option 1: I'm kinda busy...

He apologizes for bothering you like this, but it will be a short walk.

Option 2: Sure!

Samir thanks you, as he knows you're a busy farmer. Though he could do this alone, he would rather you accompany him. Samir feels maybe he can see things differently with you around.

During the walk, you first run into Isaac. He mentions the wind is kicking up and recommends you and Samir be cautious when outside.

In the plaza, you guys bump into Nadine and the twins. Samir guesses that they're out shopping. Nadine confirms that is what they're doing - out getting groceries for dinner. Sylvia and Laurie made a childlike observation how cute you and Samir look together; Nadine reminded them to mind their manners.

As the group leaves to finish their shopping, Madeleine calls over. She just finished baking some snacks this morning and wants to share. A luxury of youth is enjoying good food, don't 'cha know.

The two of you take the snacks over to the fountain by the hotel. They're delicious! Samir mentions how everyone in town is kind. Not like back home. Samir feels that the reason is because of him, whatever that means. He thanks you for joining him on his walk. Samir would really like to spend more time with you.

The Gift of Gratitude

Samir enjoys how giftful everyone is in Zephyr Town and would like to give some gifts too. He wants to cook up some presents but needs ingredients. Samir asks you to bring him 5 3-Star eggs. This can be any combination of normal Egg or Silkie Egg. In exchange, you'll receive the recipe for Trifle.

Samir has stopped by to reveal he has something to confess. As you know, he has traveled to Zephyr Town from a country far away, where he is actually a prince of that kingdom. His full title is Prince Samir-raja Swareet, though he is on the lower side of the hierarchy to the throne. While he claims he came here to study, honestly, Samir came here to escape his royal lineage. He kept his background a secret because he feared that if everyone knew, he would be treated unequally; it would be just like back in his home country. But now that he has become familiar with everyone, Samir knows that it wouldn't have happened. He now realizes he was the one who was blocking everyone out.

He now realizes that if there was a problem, he could talk it out. It was something he discovered in time. Samir wants to talk to everyone now! He thanks you for listening, as he feels he can always be himself when he's with you. There are no more secrets. How do you feel about him?

Option 1: I've fallen in love with you.

Samir is pleased to hear that you feel the same. He has some concerns about this relationship and his royal status, but no matter what happens, Samir has no plan to give this up. If any trouble occurs, he'll protect you. Samir is grateful that you're in his life.

Option 2: You're a great friend.

He's grateful to have met you and says you're an irreplaceable friend.

It's up to you whether you want to be an official pair or just best buddies. There is no penalty for telling every marriage candidate that you love them; it merely changes the day-to-day dialog to feel more affectionate compared to being great friends. The candidate's character description in the Main Menu will note they are either "your newfound love" or "your trusted friend." You can continue to raise their affection to the maximum 10 hearts and propose marriage whether friends or lovers.

A Homemade Meal

Though he grew up in a palace, Samir admits he isn't a fan of fancy food. He wants something more homestyle. Samir asks you to bring him 1 4-Star Simmered Fish. This dish is at Clara's Diner at the Rank 5 (Regional) bazaar. Purchase and eat to learn the recipe. The ingredients are 1 fish and 1 Soy Sauce. The resulting star rank will be the combined average of the two ingredients (e.g., a 5-star fish and a 4-star soy sauce will equal a 4.5-Star Simmered Fish).

Extra ingredients that can be added to Simmered Fish are Green Onion, Burdock, and Sugar.

Once completed, bring the meal back to Samir to receive the recipe for Khachapuri, a cooked meal that has a base sell price of about 10,000 G and a food effect of Double Forage.

 

Marriage Proposal

Samir can't imagine spending his life with anyone else and gladly accepts your marriage proposal.

At the Sunnywood Hotel, Samir informs Arata of his engagement. Arata is pumped about his buddy getting married and is pleased to see Samir follow his heart. Though things might become a little complicated back home, given Samir's royal lineage, Arata is confident that you and Samir can handle anything life throws your way. You can always count on him if things ever get rough!

At the scenic overlook in the Mountain, Samir notes that today is the first step in a new life together. Don't worry about the kingdom or his father; Samir will fight for you if it means he can live his life with you in Zephyr Town. You're his most important treasure.

The marriage proposal event will last all day, ending at 7:00 pm in front of your house.
