Miguel's Mercantile

Miguel is a friendly merchant who manages the general goods store in the Zephyr Town plaza. His shop is open Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm. On Fridays, his two brothers, Enrique and Ramon, visit the town in preparation for the Saturday bazaar, where each brother has his own bazaar stall.

The mercantile serves three purposes:

1. Buy Basic Materials: While Miguel's inventory is not as extensive as the bazaar stalls, he does sell staple items such as base-level crop seeds, animal feed, and cooking ingredients such as Sugarcane and Rock Salt. Miguel's merchandise is always 0.5 Star Rank.
2. Sell Outside the Bazaar: You can make some money by selling items directly to Miguel, but you'll earn less compared to selling at the bazaar, where there are multipliers, trending goods, and the happy Cheer Squad to boost profits.
3. Orders: After the bazaar reaches Rank 3 (Town Bazaar), Miguel will offer the option to special-order seeds from any season. The seeds you may order must have been acquired through normal means. For example, you need to have reached Bazaar Rank 5 and purchased Eggplant Seeds from Paradise Sundries before you can order those seeds from Miguel. After ordering, Miguel will have your seeds ready for pickup on the next mercantile business day. The price Miguel charges for orders is the same as the bazaar stall market price.

The sun medallion on the exterior of Miguel's Mercantile is a call-back to the sun medallion that used to be on the tip of his hat in the original DS game.

If you make it to the roof of the shop, you may find there is enough space for a human to enter through the chimney. Exploring his chimney after midnight will trigger the Miguel's Chimney Charades series of events.
