Diana was transferred to Zephyr Town from the Bazaar Review Board, tasked with overseeing the efforts to revitalize the little outdoor market. She works closely with Mayor Felix on ways to improve the bazaar's popularity and shop variety, though she has a more strategic implementation method compared to the energetic mayor's efforts. If everyone follows Diana's guidance, the bazaar is sure to succeed, while also ensures that the support from the Bazaar Review Board is not withdrawn... eek...

Diana will unlock in your game after your bazaar reaches Rank 2 (Village Bazaar), which will most likely be around Spring 9 of your first year.

Diana, Felix, and Harold are organizing some crates for the bazaar. Despite Diana's directions, Harold is confused as to what she really wants him to do. Felix notices you and explains that the bazaar improvement team is hard at work. Diane then interrupts to point out that there is a calculation error on the report he supplied to Bazaar Review Board. Egads! Felix apologizes for the mistake and is willing to correct, but Diana says she already fixed the math; she just needs his signature for confirmation.

Harold and Diana finally greet you, and Harold remembers that Diana had a topic she wanted to discuss with you. With Felix's encouragement, Diana asks if you would have a small chat with her.

Now that you're separated from Felix and Harold, Diana says she too was dispatched to this town for a purpose, like how you arrived here to take over the farm. This bazaar needs several things if it is to thrive. Diana feels that your farm is the key to the success of the bazaar and asks that you do your best with the farm, for the town's sake.

Option 1: Of course!

Diana is relieved that you understand the severity of the situation. She doesn't want to pressure you, but your work on the farm is vital to this project.

Option 2: I'm not much for hard labor...

Ah, Diana apologizes for her request. That's your decision to make, not hers.

When she looks over the bazaar, Diana recognizes the potential this place has. She wants to do all she can to grow. It's something she has to do! With that enigmatic statement, Diana returns to her work.

Board Report

Diana says the Bazaar Review Board wants data on the animals and livestock of Zephyr Town. She needs you to collect animal byproducts for her report. You do not need to bring her any items; Diana just wants you to milk your cows, harvest your eggs, etc. In exchange you'll receive a Windmill Singboard small decor item for your bazaar stall.

 

2-Heart Event

You find Harold by himself. He explains that Diana stepped out, but you're welcome to have some tea while you wait for her return.

While having a tasty beverage, Harold thanks you for looking out for his sister. This new assignment in Zephyr Town is different from others. Harold has noticed how Diana is making a great effort to make it work. Ah, forget he said anything; Diana should be back soon.

Unknown to him, Diana overheard his conversation. She walks in and tells him not to worry; she'll explain everything to you. Once seated, Diana explains that when she first started working for the Bazaar Review Board, she was assigned to a market similar to Zephyr Town. That bazaar was also a shadow of its former glory. Diana naively thought she could turn things around, but inevitably failed in her task. The bazaar shut down. The look of sadness on the villagers' faces burned into her memories. Since then, she's grown and learned more about the business, and swears she won't make those same mistakes. Diana is still concerned about Zephyr's bazaar's slow growth.

Harold reminds her that she has more data to send to the Bazaar Review Board. True, though Diana feels that if the Board doesn't see the potential and the improvement that has happened, she may be reassigned to another market. What should she tell the Board?

Option 1: You've got this!

You're right. Diana will do what she knows best. There's no need to worry.

Option 2: Want some help?

Diana has things under control, for now. If she does need assistance, you're the first person she'll reach out to.

Diana gets up from the table to return to work. After she's out of sight, Harold reveals that the last bazaar Diana referred to was truly a mess. Everyone did everything they could, but it was one disaster after another. There was nothing anyone could do. Harold wishes his sister would take better care of herself and asks that you keep an eye on her.

Diana wants to make an optimized curry for Harold. The ingredients from your farm would be ideal! Bring her 1 2-Star root vegetable. Qualifying items are Potato (spring), Onion (spring or summer), or Carrot (autumn). In exchange she'll give you the recipe for Vegetable Curry.

Diana isn't looking so good. While she admits that she feels fine, it is obvious that she needs a break.

Back at her house, Diana is resting in bed. She's frustrated with herself for getting sick and admits that she hasn't been paying attention to her self-care lately.

Option 1: You're stressing yourself out...

Option 2: Maybe you should take a break?

You might be right... Self-care has always been something Diana has struggled with. She feels guilty for resting instead of working. In fact, now that she remembers, there are a few reports she has not submitted to the Bazaar Review Board yet. Suddenly, Mayor Felix blows through the door in a panic. Not because of the missing reports, but because he heard that Diana was unwell. Diana tells Felix that she's fine. Felix leaves her with a nutritious treat before leaving so she can continue her rest.

Soon, Mina stops by. She heard how Diana was not feeling well and had come to deliver some snacks so that Diana could focus on feeling better. As soon as Mina leaves, Clara comes for a visit for the same reason! Clara has brought a fruit basket and some drinks to help Diana feel better. Diana apologizes for causing everyone to worry. Clara reminds her that everyone knows how hard she's been working.

After Clara leaves, Diana reviews all the gifts from everyone. The generosity and care make Diana want to work even harder for Zephyr Town. This little place does help to soothe the mind and body. Right now, Diana needs to concentrate on getting better so she can properly explain these concepts to the Bazaar Review Board. She promises you that she will rest and thanks you for being here for her.

(Note: Both answer options give the same dialog, but #2 is supposed to be better for friendship boosts; though, it looks the same gain to me.).

Feed a Fever

Diana is beginning to feel under the weather again. She could use a warm meal to ward off this ailment. Bring her 1 3-Star Egg Drop Soup. You already have this recipe in your farmhouse kitchen, which requires 1 Egg. Easy peasy! In return you'll receive 9 3-Star Chili Pepper Seeds.

Diana is giving her bazaar report to Felix while Harold stands by. At the end of the report, Diana points out that she appreciated Felix visiting with her after she became sick. Felix replies that seeing Diana back up on her feet is a relief. Harold has noticed his sister has been in a better mood lately. She reveals that Zephyr Town has received an amazing evaluation from the Bazaar Review Board! Diana feels this place could have the best bazaar in the entire world.

You meet up with the group. Diana wants to speak with you privately and asks you to go along with her. As you leave, Harold stops you for a moment to point out that Diana has been talking about you a lot lately.

With the two of you alone, Diana thanks you again for helping her when she was unwell. On another note, the bazaar is clearly doing very well. There are lots of visitors, and sales are steadily increasing. Diana thanks you from the bottom of her heart for all that you have done for the bazaar. She also submitted another report to the board that highlights the atmosphere of Zephyr Town, and per the board's request, Diana will be staying in Zephyr Town to continue its development! Diana admits to being relieved that she'll be staying, especially since you are an invaluable partner in this project. She asks if you feel the same about her.

Option 1: I've fallen in love with you.

Diana blushes, as she feels the same towards you. You've made her very happy, and she looks forward to exploring this relationship outside of work.

Option 2: You're a great friend.

Diana feels fortunate to have met you, both as a work colleague and as a friend.

It's up to you whether you want to be an official pair or just best buddies. There is no penalty for telling every marriage candidate that you love them; it merely changes the day-to-day dialog to feel more affectionate compared to being great friends. The candidate's character description in the Main Menu will note they are either "your newfound love" or "your trusted friend." You can continue to raise their affection to the maximum 10 hearts and propose marriage whether friends or lovers.

Researching Rare Crops

Diana wants to research rare crops to see if it could benefit the profitability of the bazaar She wants 1 rare crop of any star rank. The crops you want to grow for this task are Corn, Pineapple, Melon, Asparagus, Cauliflower, Almond, Cucumber, or Burdock. No other rare crop will qualify to complete this task. Bring the rare crop back to Diana to receive 1 5-Star Gold Blend Tea Tin.

 

Marriage Proposal

Diana accepts your Blue Feather and asks that you go with her to tell her brother.

Harold congratulates Diana and knows the two of you will be incredible partners together. He is a little shocked that his sister has grown up and is now starting a family of her own. Diana tells him she appreciates everything he has done for her over the years. Harold replies that he's not going anywhere! She will always be his little sister.

At the scenic overlook in the Mountains, Diana hopes to work together to have a long and happy life. This means weekly meal planning and financial budgeting... oh don't worry, she's just joking with you! Her one rule is to promise to respect one another.

The marriage proposal event will last all day, ending at 7:00 pm in front of your house.
