Being a Good Role Model

Screen Shot

Lloyd is having problems with one of his deliveries. He asks Harold to let Felix know that the shipment won't be ready for the next bazaar. The postman thinks for a moment and suggests that the packages route through his system; it would only take a few telephone calls. Lloyd appreciates Harold's offer. That would be a huge help! Lloyd could learn a few things from Harold if he wants to run a successful business.

Diana stops in and asks for a moment with her brother. She wanted to point out that he used the wrong detergent when doing the laundry! Harold offers to redo the washing, but Diana has already rewashed the clothes so that her sister-in-law doesn't have to deal with this later. Then she leaves.

Harold apologizes to Lloyd for having to watch Diana be a meanie. They lost their parents when they were young, and Diana had a rough childhood alone. She had to learn to be independent at an early age. It's why she works so hard now. Lloyd assumes that it may be due to Harold being a good role model back then, too. Harold admits that he had to start working when he was young, which left Diana alone. He laments that he wasn't there for her more often. All he can do now is try to make the world a better place for younger folks to live in. Lloyd reminds Harold not to sell himself short; he's a good example for everyone to follow.
