Isaac

The primary caretaker of the town's windmills, Isaac has always been good at tinkering with things, up until the windmills became too much to handle. He's grateful for the enthusiasm and respect the protagonist has for the three mighty structures. Isaac lives in the upper section of Zephyr Town with his spouse, Natalie, and their daughters, Laurie and Sylvia. While Isaac has recently become more conscious of his health, he fears hurting Natalie's feelings if he reduces his daily food intake.

Favored (Special) Gift: Jam-Filled Bun. This main meal dish can be bought at Cafe Madeleine all year long, then eat the bun to learn the recipe. To make using the kitchen, which requires the oven, combine Wheat Flour and one fruit jam. Recipes for jam (Apple, Grape, Strawberry, and Blueberry) are at the Mini Madeleine's bazaar booth once the bazaar reaches Rank 4.

Heart Unlock Requests

Isaac is the only resident of Zephyr Town with a unique request line. His first three tasks are associated with repairing the windmills and not based on his heart level. That is why you'll see his friendship hearts unlocked up to Heart 8, at which point he has a normal heart unlock request.

Windmill Materials

On Spring 6, Isaac will visit the farm to explain how the red-roofed windmill is supposed to function. Alas, it isn't working right now, but maybe you could help with repairs? Isaac will ask you for 10 Rock and 10 Wood. You can collect these materials by using the Hatchet on branches and pebbles that lie around on the ground. Bring him the materials to repair the farm windmill.

Seen Anything Lying Around?

After your bazaar has reached Rank 3 (Town Bazaar), Isaac will ask for your help again, this time with the blue-roofed windmill by the Sunnywood Hotel. He admits to taking a break in the bazaar area and must have lost a tool there that he needs for making windmill repairs. He asks that you locate his missing item. Go into the bazaar area and investigate the bench in the southwest corner, by the flower bed. Bring him the lost item, and in exchange, Isaac will restore functionality to the blue windmill.

Working Windmills

When the town bazaar has reached Rank 4 (City Bazaar), he'll need your windmill assistance one last time. Isaac is working on repairing the yellow windmill by Lloyd's house, but he needs some information on how to fine-tune the structure. He asks that you use the other two windmills to process a total of 100 items. This can be completed easily by crafting Fertilizer (2 Weeds per bag) at the red or blue windmills. Once you've met the 100-item threshold, talk to Isaac to learn that the yellow windmill is repaired and now usable.

Accessory to Love

Isaac wants your help with acquiring a gift to give to his beloved Nadine. He wants 5 4-Star jewels. Qualifying items are Amethyst, Emerald, Topaz, Peridot, Ruby, Moonstone, Diamond, or Pink Diamond. But you may want to reserve those diamonds for other purposes, such as high-profit accessories or sun stone crafting.

Increasing the star rank of jewels and ores found while using the Hatchet on rocks is achieved by giving offerings to Ivy. This Nature Sprite controls the quality of foraged items. You'll find Ivy by the red windmill on your farm from about 10:00 am until midnight.

In exchange, Isaac will give you the Blue Wonderstone. This orb can be inserted into a windmill to reduce processing time by 50%. The other efficiency improvement Wonderstones are sold at Felipe's Fineries once your bazaar reaches Rank 5 (Regional Bazaar).
