A prankster at heart, Kevin spends his days hunting for bugs and a little bit of mischief. His antics are intended to impress Derek, though the older fellow tries to keep Kevin's tricks within reason, letting him know when there may be unintended consequences that Kevin needs to consider before pulling a prank. Kevin also likes to hang out with Laurie and Sylvia; you can see all three kids in the Equestrian park on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

You might be good at farming, but you have a long way to go if you want to impress Kevin! He wants you to catch 10 critters (any type). You won't have to give him the insects; he just wants you to partake in the activity.

In exchange, you will receive a Bug Signboard, a small decor item for the bazaar booth.

Still catching bugs? Kevin intends to make you into a bug-catching master. As part of your training, he requests that you catch 15 bugs at 1-Star or higher.

To increase star rank of bugs and critters, give spare bugs to Penny the Nature Sprite. You just need to have the bug star-rank level at 4 to have caught bugs have 1-Star of quality. Level 8 is 1.5-Star bugs, and Level 12 will get you 2-Star bugs.

Bring the bugs back to Kevin to receive 10 2-Star Honeycomb.

Looks like you're becoming a master bug catcher! Kevin has another training lesson that is tougher than before. He wants you to catch 10 3-star insects from his list of qualifying, uncommon bugs:
