Gannon's Shop
![](../img/villagers/store_gannon.jpg)
On Sprout Island you'll find Gannon's store. His shop is open Monday through Saturday. Gannon is the handyman of the local Sunshine Islands, so he sells building materials, tools, and even carpentry options.
Shop
Gannon sells tools that will help you take care of your crops. Taro will give you a Hoe and Watering Can at the start of your life on Sunshine Islands, and Gannon will stop by on the third day to give you an Axe, Hammer, and Sickle, but you'll be responsible for obtaining your Fishing Rod from Gannon's shop. Gannon will also sell duplicates of these tools. Just like with Mirabelle's Shop, the cost of the tool will be randomly set each morning based on the number of Wonderful Stone slots available for that day's tool. Each slot adds 1000 G to the cost of the tool. For example, you may find a Watering Can that costs 2000 G in Gannon's inventory one day, which means that can has 2 slots for Wonderful Stones. The next day you may find the Watering Can only costs 1000 G, as it now only contains 1 slot for Wonderfuls. Waiting another day may unlock a 3000 G Watering Can in his shop.
The maximum number of slots (and Gannon's highest price) is based on your current year in the game plus 2. So if you were in year 5 of your game, Gannon can potentially sell a 7000 G Watering Can with 7 slots for Wonderful Stones. The highest price Gannon will charge for a farm tool is 10,000 G (10 Wonderful slots). Unwanted tools can be stored inside the farm house Tool Box or sell them to Chen for 500 G each. You'll have to buy the Tool Box from Chen for 2000 G if you wish to keep the tools for later.
Gannon also sells building materials needed to construct barns and bridges. You can either collect the construction materials yourself throughout the islands or pay for it directly from Gannon. You'll use an Axe to chop branches into Lumber, and a hammer to smash stones into Material Stone. Gold Lumber can be obtained by hiring the Monkey wild animal team.

Note that the Fishing Rod doesn't have any Wonderful Stone slots and will always cost 5000 G in his shop.
Build
Your starting farm contains a functional farm house, a small Supply Shed, and a Stable for pets; you'll have to hire Gannon to construct the other building such as the Chicken Coop and the livestock Barn. Gannon can also upgrade your farm buildings.
As you collect Sun Stones and restore the islands around your farm, Gannon will have bridges available for construction. You can't reach your beneficial farm islands until you've build your access to them!
Gannon offers two ways for you to pay for his construction jobs; you can either 1) supply the necessary Lumber and pay a reduced building fee, or 2) pay the full-cost of the project that includes both Lumber and building fees. If you don't have quite enough Lumber to pay for the discounted fee, you can buy the Lumber from Gannon's shop inventory. Gannon's building and bridge construction always requires wood Lumber.

Farm House Storage Upgrades
Besides building new construction, Gannon can refurbish the Tool Box, Beauty Box, Refrigerator, and Shelves.
Your basic Wood-based furniture will only hold 3-pages worth of items (36 total). If you feel you need more room, especially with the Refrigerator, you can hire Gannon to enlarge your storage boxes. Each upgrade will add another 36 slots to the furniture, with a maximum number of 144 item slots available. All of the upgrades cost the same for each of the 4 pieces of furniture.
- Size Upgrade, Medium (72 slots)- 100 Lumber and 2000 G, or:
- Lumber: 12,000 G
- Material: 32,000 G
- Gold: 10,102,000 G
- Size Upgrade, Large (108 slots) - 200 Lumber and 10,000 G, or:
- Lumber: 25,000 G
- Material: 60,000 G
- Gold: 20,210,000 G
- Size Upgrade, Extra Large (144 slots) - 300 Lumber and 1,000,000 G, or:
- Lumber: 1,020,000 G
- Material: 1,080,000 G
- Gold: 31,300,000 G
The better your construction material, the fresher the items will stay when inside. For example, if you left an item inside your basic Wood-based Refrigerator, it will lose a full dot of Freshness every 6 days. If you upgrade your fridge to Material Stone, then you will lose a dot every 10 days instead. Upgrading to Gold will cause your items to preserve freshness a little more than 11 days, and the Mythic Refrigerator will never rot!
Upgrading to Mythic is just for aesthetic reasons, and for the end-goal of getting 100% on your House Complete percentage. Each Mythic Ore upgrade costs the standard amount of material (100 for small to medium, etc.) plus 5,000,000 G if you are converting from one size to another. If you are simply resizing your existing Mythic Stone box (i.e., Medium Mythic Shelves to Large Mythic Shelves) you just need the material and the cost of labor is free.
Gannon will not have an Option 2 for Mythic Ore upgrades! If you want to go all the way to Mythic you'll have to obtain all of the necessary material yourself. Gannon is a carpenter, not a miner; he will not have any Mythic Ore on-hand to make a bundled lumber+labor order.
Maker Shed Machines
Along with everything else Gannon does, he also manufactures the Maker Machines for the Maker Shed. The Makers will convert your standard farm produce into items that sell for more money. You need to hire Gannon to build the Maker Shed first (see the chart above for costs), and then you need to get Adamantite from the mine on Volcano Island for Maker manufacturing material.
- 10 Adamantite and 20,000 G each - Butter Maker, Cheese Maker, Mayonnaise Maker, Yarn Maker, Yogurt Maker
- 10 Adamantite and 50,000 G - Seed Maker
- 20 Adamantite and 100,000 G each - Thrasher and Flour Mill
- 100 Adamantite and 5,000,000 G - Rank Maker
Change Wallpaper
You can customize the interior of your house by hiring Gannon to do some internal remodeling. You can see pictures of the upgrades and their requirements over on the Wallpaper/Flooring guide page.
