Small Animal Pets
The farmhouse size limits the number of house pets you can own: 1 pet, 3 pets, or 5 pets. Use the yellow notebook inside the house to release a pet back to the wild, whether it was purchased from a store or tamed from the wild.
Pets must be fed animal fodder every day. You can either hand-feed the animals or you can use your farmhouse workbench to make a Food Dish. You'll need to use 3 Silver to make the pet food bowl. You can get Silver Ore from the Lectenbury Mine starting on floor 11, then take the raw ore to a crafter for processing into metal. Once crafted, you can place the fodder into the Food Dish instead of feeding every pet by hand. Unfortunately, there isn't a pet food auto-feeder like in the animal barn.
A new Food Dish will automatically be added to the farmhouse for every pet you own, up to the maximum limit allowed based on your current house size.
Abilities will only trigger when the pet is at full friendship. Pets will fall asleep at 9:00 pm. While they won't eat from their Food Dishes at that point, you can still hand feed them to ensure they don't lose friendship because they went hungry for a day.

Ability: Retrieves mushrooms from time to time. Shitake Mushroom, Morel Mushroom, White Truffle, and Matsutake Mushroom. I haven't received a Miracle Truffle from this fellow yet.

Tamed: A night time creature, this single-tailed kitsune is close to several Harvest Goddess warp statues in the northern and southern halves of Anthos. There's another White Fox located at night near the Anchovy fishing spot in the Valley of the Setting Sun warp statue. 7:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Coyote
A wild animal similar to a wolf. Very adaptable, with good hunting skills.
Ability: Retrieves fish from time to time. This dog brings small fish such as Piranha, Sardine, Mosquitofish, and Crucian Carp.

Tamed: This dog is out all the time. During the day, the Coyote is in the Herbstburg and Rocky Backroads area. At night, there will be two groups of them in the southwest corner of the map (not pictured above).
Dingo
A wild animal similar to a wolf. One of the oldest breed of dogs.
Ability: Retrieves fish from time to time. A lot of Arowana, but sometimes a Walleye and a Tiger Prawn.

Tamed: Groups of these dogs come out at night in the desert and the flatlands. They also appear next to the Zimagrad West mine entrance and in the Aurora Woods area. 7:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Wolf
A wild animal of the Canidae family. Very intelligent. Runs in packs and can communicate with its howling voice.
Ability: Retrieves fish from time to time. Most often it is Cod, but sometimes Lobster, Seabass, and Dorado.

Tamed: During the day, the Wolf is in the snowy Zimagrad area. There is a roaming pair north of the Snowy Playground warp statue. At night, the wolves come out to play all over Anthos, except for Zimagrad and the desert.

A breed of cat. Small with long fur.

African Wildcat
A breed of cat. Is said to be an ancestor of the domestic cat.

Snow Hare
A white hare found in snowfields. When hidden in the snow, they are difficult to find.

Budgie

Ability: Retrieves rare seeds from time to time. These will be uncommon crop seeds: Romanesco Seeds, Red Onion Seeds, Sweet Potato Seeds, Orange Bell Pepper Seeds, Royal Herb Seeds, Leek Seeds, Romaine Lettuce Seeds, Chickpea Seeds, Barley Seeds, and so on.

Owl
A large bird with excellent hearing. Has soft feathers and can fly very quietly.
Ability: Retrieves rare crops from time to time. This bird will reward you with uncommon flowers, such as Pink Rose, Moulin Rouge, Pink Daisy, Water Lotus, Rising Sun, Champagne Flute, Ice Trumpet, Chamomile, and Viola. This bird will also fetch the DLC flowers White Rose and Blue Rose.

Snowy Owl
A beautiful owl with snow-white feathers. Has a mild and sensitive personality.
Ability: Petting provides a cooling effect for a short time. This owl will give 10 hours of protection from excessive heat, useful for exploring the desert during the daytime or running through the volcano.

Little Owl
A small owl. Known to be curious and brash.
Ability: Retrieves rare crops from time to time. Similar to the normal Owl, this bird will bring uncommon crops like Rice, Watercress, Orange Bell Pepper, Royal Herb, Fodder Corn, and more.

Tamed: All over the Herbstburg region. Sometimes it is hidden in tall grass and hard to find, so approach its area carefully if you're trying to tame. 7:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Ferret
A small animal with a long torso and short legs. They are as active as kittens and love to play.
Ability: Retrieves ore from time to time. This pet will bring raw ores such as Stone, Raw Iron Ore, and Raw Bronze Ore. Most of the time it's Stone.

Meerkat
A small, cute animal that is popular as a pet. They live in cooperation with their comrades.
Ability: Retrieves gemstones from time to time. Brings in common and rare gems such as Raw Crystal Gemstone, Raw Glass Gemstone, Raw Jade Gemstone, Raw Amethyst Gemstone, Raw Opal Gemstone, Raw Moonstone Gemstone, and Raw Aquamarine Gemstone. A bit more useful than the ferret.

Asian Small-Clawed Otter (DLC)
A small mammal that swims very well. Easily bored with a needy personality.
Ability: Retrieves shellfish from time to time. Mainly the wild ones that can be foraged around Anthos, such as Clams and Oysters. Did receive a Akoya Pearl Oyster once, so this creature can reward you with higher-level shellfish.
