The Traveling Adventurers

As you go through the story of Anthos and meet the town residents, there are three that have a special purpose: Nemo in Lectenbury, Brendon in Lilikala, and Gunnar in Zimagrad. These three men wear backpacks and have a insatiable appetite for adventure. In fact, as you destroy the walls that block their travels, they will recruit your help with preparing for their adventures. Once you complete their special tasks, these three fellows will leave their town from time to time and wander the world.

When you come across Nemo, Brendon, and Gunnar while wandering about, they will be hard at work looking for rare items and recipes. Talking to them will trigger their store service, selling goods that you cannot buy at normal stores. You'll find food items, crop mutations, recipes, and even specialty fertilizers if you happen to track down these fellows when they're not home.

To get them mobile, each of them will ask you to help them get ready for their journey. Each man will ask you to bring them 5 Baguette, 3 Butter, and 3 Fried Egg.

• The farmhouse kitchen already has the recipe for Baguette. Make the bread by using 2 Wheat.
• The Butter recipe can be bought from the restaurant in Lectenbury after Ver's wall is gone. Combine 3 Milk to make 1 Butter. If you don't have a cow for milk, keep an eye out for Judy's 10-Fertilizer task, which gives 3 Milk as a reward.
• The recipe for Fried Egg is also at the Lectenbury restaurant after the wall has been removed. It requires just 1 Egg to make.

The easiest way to locate Nemo and Brendon is by using the DocPad's villager request menu. If you receive a task from them, do not complete it! Instead, use that task to track where the adventuring merchants are exploring. Marking their request as your actively-tracking task means a (!) icon will appear on your world map, showing you exactly where they're exploring. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a trackable task from Gunnar yet.

From what I can tell, only one adventurer will be out in the world at a time; the others will be in their hometowns.

Nemo - Fertilizers and Recipes

Judy's big brother normally runs the Flower Shop in Lectenbury. After the wall falls, his goal is to explore the world looking for exotic flowers. Nemo tends to wander around the flatlands areas. I've seen him by the pond southwest of the Breezy Plains warp statue and by the pond northwest of the Lilikala entrance.

Brendon - Wild Items and Recipes

This adventurer lives in the town of Lilikala and wants to become the world's greatest chef. When he's wandering, he'll be at the entrance to Zimagrad and by the water well in Lectenbury, near the restaurant. You can also find him near Music Square in Herbstburg and in the southern area of Providence, near the small fenced-in field. He sells wild-found items and expensive recipes for your kitchen.

Gunnar - Crop Mutations and Recipes

Gunnar is originally from Zimagrad. When he wanders, he'll be by the Lost Desert warp statue, the Aurora Woods warp statue, and south of the Shooting Star Beach warp statue by the sign that points to the volcano road.

The crop mutations that Gunnar sells are not seeds; they're the mature crop. If you want to grow these yourself, you can use the Harvest Goddess' powers to convert the crop back into a bag of seed, then use her again to replicate the seed bag into more seeds.

Buying crops from Gunnar WILL add the crops' entries in the Crops Encylopedia. It doesn't fill in the parent crop's Mutation box, but at least it fills in the empty boxes.
