Lina

A furniture builder by trade, Lina is cheerful and helpful to everyone in her snowy town. She spends a lot of time fixing and improving the furniture she makes for the villagers, so much time in fact that sometimes she's exhausted. Lina needs someone to teach her to share the load. She doesn't have to do everything all by herself.
Birthday: Spring 21
Good Gifts: Ice Tulip, Valaise Blacknose Sheep Wool, Emerald
Lina's Requests
- 3 Silver Ore = 10 Orange
- 5 Crystal = 3 Yasso Scallop
- 8 Timber Bamboo = 10 Romanesco Seeds
- 15 Iron = 10 Beet Seeds
Lina's Events
- 1-note Event: Walk toward Lina's house that's located above the crafter shop in Zimagrad and you'll bump into Lina heading out. She plans to share a chocolate pie with her neighbors and check to see if any of them need furniture repairs. Sometimes she gets ideas for new furniture by fixing what's already there. Unfortunately, you do not get a share of her Chocolate Pie.
- 2-note Event: Walk into Lina's house. She reminds you about the promise to share Chocolate Pie with you. While you eat, she explains that she's still trying to come up with new furniture designs and was hoping that stories of your travels would help inspire her. Lina has to fix Dolph's bookcase first, but she plans on getting started on this new idea afterward. Again, you don't actually get any leftover Chocolate Pie.
- 3-note Event: Walk into Lina's house. There's no Lina, but Karl is there. He hopes that Lina isn't overwhelming. She has loved to look after people ever since she was a child. Karl wonders if you've noticed that Lina often forgets to care for herself when she's dedicated to helping others, and asks that you keep an eye on her for him. When Lina returns, she explains that she's been busy repairing everyone's fireplaces. Sounds like she may be getting sick though...
- 4-note Event: You spot Amanda and Emma talking near the center of town. They haven't seen Lina in a while. Maybe she caught that bad cold that has been going around. That is exactly what happened; Lina is in bed at home. Karl is away and she's alone. She asks that you bring her some food and medicine, since she gave all her medicine away to other people. Lina feel awful for getting stick when so many people are relying on her. You volunteer to do the repairs if she would teach you how to do them. That's a good idea, though she wants to wait until she feels better.
- 5-note Event: Inside of Lina's house, she is teaching Amanda and Emma how to remove dents in wooden furniture. They're excited to be able to make repairs themselves! After they leave, Lina tells you she plans to be more mindful of her health. Now that everyone can make their own repairs, Lina has time to clean her own house! Or maybe more time to talk with you. She invites you to visit for tea and Chocolate Pie someday; and yet, you still don't actually get any pie.
- Token of Love: Lina is shocked to receive your token and is glad that you always look out for her. She gives you a token in exchange and tells you she would like to spend time together with you.
- 6-note Event: Walk into the center of Zimagrad. Lina takes you to her special place, the overlook cliffs near the entrance of town. She even brought cakes made with fresh fruit! Lina asks to learn more about your background story. She also thanks you for helping to craft the traditional clothes so everyone can be warm when outside. Lina invites you to visit and eat her homemade candy whenever you want, though it would be easier if the two of you lived together (hint hint). And you still don't get any cake.
Nikolai

Nikolai and his brother Dolph work at the health clinic in Zimagrad. While Dolph studies medical practice under Dr. Sinel, Nikolai studies how to use herbs and remedies to naturally cure ailments. Since he tends to be elbow deep in plants, Nikolai isn't accustomed to talking to people other than his brother; plants aren't ones for conversation. It's not that he's shy. He just doesn't know how to hold a conversation.
Birthday: Winter 22
Good Gifts: Energy Mushroom, Animal Medicine, Amethyst
Nikolai's Requests
- 1 Prominence Wheat = 5 Silver
- 5 Bronze = 2 Large Clam
- 10 Orange = 2 Oyster
- 2 Veggies au Gratin, 2 Vegetable Pot-au-Feu = 5 Yasso Scallop, 10 Geoduck
- 10 Orange, 3 Snow Wheat, 3 Black Carrot = 2 Oyster, 5 Surf Clam, 2 Akoya Pearl Oyster
Nikolai's Events
- 1-note Event: Walk into the clinic to see Nikolai busy making medicine. You ask to watch him work, which confuses him because it's not all that exciting, but he agrees to let you observe the making of the next batch of cold medicine. Nikolai is glad you've an interest in herbs. He'll teach you more about it the next time you visit.
- 2-note Event: Inside the clinic, Nikolas explains they just received a new shipment of herbs. He's ready to to teach you a little bit about the plants. This one is good for insect bites, and this one is for treating fevers. After a while, Nikolai is worried that he's boring you. The herbalist is glad to hear that you're fine and his lecture wasn't confusing. Sometimes when explaining things, Nikolai tends to use the wrong words in his sentences. He wishes he was more confidence when talking to others and envies how comfortable you are with talking to people. You encourage him to practice more.
- 3-note Event: Back in the clinic, this time you find Dolph instead. Nikolai is out collecting herbs at the moment, but you're welcome to wait. Dolph thanks you for spending time with his brother and being patient with Nikolai's ways of speaking. When Nikolai finally returns, he is empty handed. Turns out the animals ate the plants he wanted to harvest. Dolph has to correct his brother when he makes a remark that could be interpreted poorly. Ooph, Nikolai really does have a tough time expressing himself.
- 4-note Event: Head close to the clinic to see Nikolai outside. He was about to leave to look for more herbs. You volunteer to help him pick the plants, though he warns to avoid the poisonous ones. Oops, too late! You wake up inside the clinic. Dolph explains Nikolai brought you inside and had him put together a medicine to heal your illness. Dolph was very impressed with Nikolai's thorough explanation! When Nikolai returns, he is glad to see you're awake and starts to scold you, and then himself, for mixing up the normal plants with the poisonous ones. At least he did manage to convey his feelings properly. Nikolai admits that he usually omits information in his speech because he fears others would misunderstand if he said too much, but perhaps that lead to more misunderstandings. He's excited to try this new way.
- 5-note Event: At the clinic, Nikolai is describing types of medicines to a client, and the client is having no problem understanding his explanations. After she leaves, Nikolai asks if you saw the exchange. He does feel that his problem was that he wasn't saying enough. It will take him longer than a few days to change and asks if he could practice with you.
- Token of Love Event: Nikolai is not sure how to express how he feels. He pauses for a moment and then says that he is happy. He gives you a Token of Love in exchange. Maybe you can go on a date with him later?
- 6-note Event: Walk near the clinic to see Nikolai. He suggests heading somewhere quieter to chat. He takes you to the scenic cliffs near the entrance of the town. There's much he wants to talk about, but he admits that he's a bit nervous. Nikolai has been practicing what he wanted to say. You admit it's better for conversations to flow as though they're unplanned. He admits your positive attitude is what attracted him to you. He is still puzzled why you helped the town and made the traditional attire with Lina. Helping anyone who needs the help is a strange concept to him. Nikolai tries to explain that he runs the drugstore in town because it's his responsibility. Well, maybe that is kindness after all? Nikolai thanks you for spending time with him today.
