Beth
Beth has come to Olive Town to work at the Olive Museum and study ancient artifacts. She enjoys exploring the wilds outside of town with Ralph's help. Since Beth doesn't have a permanent house in town, she lives in a room at the Gull's Rest Hotel & Cafe. Beth is not a marriage candidate, as she is romantically involved with biker Lars.

Schedule: The Olive Museum is open Friday through Wednesday. She manages the treasure replica shop at the entrance of the museum, so she's pretty easy to track down.
- 7:30 am - Leaves the Gull's Rest Hotel & Cafe to walk to the museum
- 8:15 am - Arrives at the museum to work for the day
- 5:45 pm - Leaves the museum to return to the hotel
- 6:30 pm - Returns to the Gull's Rest Hotel & Cafe
If you walk into the museum after Beth leaves at 5:45 pm, you may see her duplicate still standing at the treasure replica shop. Maybe she puts a mannequin at the shop counter to cover for leaving 15 minutes early...
When the museum is closed on Thursdays, she'll head out to explore the area north of town.

Beth is pacing through the museum as though she has forgotten something. There was definitely something she was going to do today... laundry? Eating? Oh, what is it?! Beth suddenly realizes that she is supposed to go on a date with Lars right now!
Lars walks in, looking for his afternoon date partner. He assumed she was absorbed in work again and forgot about their scheduled event. Beth is embarrassed and asks Lars if he minds waiting a bit longer so she can get ready.
Outside, Beth catches up to the waiting Lars. She apologizes for being late, but Lars figures she's earlier than he anticipated! He doesn't mind waiting; in fact, he enjoys waiting for her. Beth is surprised to hear him say that her tardiness doesn't bother him.

Beth warns you to watch out for the box she left out in the middle of the floor. She recently went to the city and found an antique shop with all sorts of neat things! Gloria was interested in the contents of the chest, so Beth is bringing it to her for appraisal. Beth had been waiting for Lars to help her carry the box, but he's a no-show so far. You offer to help Beth carry the chest to the museum.
Gloria is impressed with the oddities that Beth discovered while in the city. As she describes the items, Gloria asks you if you can tell what the purpose of this chest was.

Option 3: Anti-vampire weaponry?
Their true purpose is for warding off vampires! The items in this chest were made a hundred years ago and sold very well at the time. It is rare to find them in excellent condition like this. Gloria thanks Beth for the chest, as she now has the equipment necessary if and when a vampire shows up on her doorstep. Beth isn't convinced that vampires exist.
Lars finally makes an appearance after tracking Beth down to the museum. He apologizes for not being there to help her carry the crate and wants to buy something for her to make up for it.
After they leave, Gloria wonders what Beth sees in that strange man.

Lars is hanging out in front of the Gull's Rest with his motorcycle and his favorite lady, Beth. She plans to go on a field study today. Lars smiles and thinks that must be a nerd thing, but she replies that anyone with an inquisitive mind might find it interesting.
Ralph joins them and asks Beth if she's ready to go. Lars is hesitant to let Beth go with the forest ranger, but she tells him that they're just friends. Lars tells her that isn't the issue; it's that he would like a tour of the ruins and thinks he could learn a lot from Beth about them.
Beth wasn't expecting that! On one hand, going with Ralph would result in her task being finished in an efficient manner, but on the other hand, Lars hardly ever offers to go with her. Ralph makes the decision for her and bows out, saying that he remembered another urgent matter he has to take care of today. After he leaves, Lars wonders if Ralph was simply trying to be polite.

Beth is quite furious about something! She tries to leave the inn, but Jack happens to be in the doorway. It wasn't his intention to be in the way!
It turns out that Beth has regularly complained about the guest staying in the room next to hers. The person makes a lot of noise at night, and Jason has told her nothing can be done about it. From Beth's point of view, the best solution is to move her to another room so she can peacefully get some work done. Jason explains he would if he could, but there aren't any other rooms available... oh wait! Jason remembers that the special pirate suite is not in use! The room is pirate-themed to give guests a taste of what it is like to live a life on the high seas. Beth tries to explain that a pirate's lifestyle would vary depending on the region and period. Jason is ahead of her, though; he's themed the room with proper period pieces. Lantern oil, material, window glass, and even the blankets are authentic! Now Beth is very interested in staying in that room. She wouldn't dare pass on something that values historical authenticity to such an extent.
Jason is excited that Beth wants to stay in the pirate suite. He invites Jack to join the tour if he'd like, though Beth feels she's fine on her own. Poor Jack doesn't want to be involved in this at all...
