Chen's General Good
Chen and his son, Charlie, will arrive on the island the day after you do. The two travels arrive by boat and not washed ashore like you and the shipper's family. Chen will stake out a plot of land by the entrance to the Beach and set up a shop.
Chen's shop is open Saturday through Thursday, from sun up until midnight. On Fridays he travels off the island and does not return until 3:00 pm.
Each season you'll find the crop seeds you'll need to grow in his shop. On the 30th of the season you'll be able to buy the next season's crop seeds, and the previous season's seeds will be removed from his inventory on the 1st of the next season.
You can also sell items to Chen. You have to hold the item in your hands and then tap on him to bring up his inventory. If you scroll down to the very bottom of his items you'll find the option to sell.

Be careful with the 10,000 G Ticket and 1,000,000 G Ticket if you plan to ship them in order to complete your shipped items list. You will not receive the full 10,000/1,000,000 price when you ship; not even if the ticket was at an S-Rank. The only way to get the full amount of the ticket is to sell it back to Chen.
