Fruit Trees

Tree seeds will not be available in Chen's store until your 2nd year in the game. Trees are a crop that, when kept properly, will produce fruit in specific seasons and will not wilt when seasons change. Trees will grow during the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. When it becomes Winter, the trees will go dormant until the first of the year. Water and Sun Points will not tally up during the Winter season, but they can be destroyed by snow storms and/or Summer hurricanes.

To plant a tree you need to till a 3x3 square of soil and plant the single-square seed in the middle. Each tree will need to be seperated from the others by empty space, but you can plant trees on the edge of your field without any problem. As long as there are no other crops planted directly next to the tree it should be able to grow.

Trees take a very long time to grow. It may take a full year before you receive any produce from your trees. The tree's fruit will appear on the ground when it receives the right amount of Sun and Water during the season it is producing. There isn't a set number of days that you must wait for the tree to drop fruit.

Note: Banana trees are very sensitive to Water Points. You might discover that the normal outdoor environment may be too harsh for the tree to survive, especially in Spring when it rains a lot. You would have better luck growing Bananas inside the Greenhouse.
