Dudley
The manager of the local inn, Dudley tends to the downstairs restaurant area while his daughter, Ran, takes care of the guest quarters upstairs. His wife passed away long ago, leaving Dudley to raise Ran as a single parent. Dudley spends every Autumn 5 on the summit of Mother's Hill, remembering his beloved.
He is on the lookout for a charming person to sweep Ran off her feet and make her happy for the rest of her life. Dudley's meddling has caused Ran some embarrassment, though she understands he is just trying to help.
Dudley's name was Doug in the original Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town game.

Schedule: Dudley's weekly schedule keeps him in the inn all day. He'll start his day in the locked back room, then be at the counter from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. He'll stay in the back room until 3:00 pm, then in the front until 7:00 pm, then in the back room until 9:00 pm, and then in the front again until the inn closes at 10:00 pm.
