Allen and Rod are having a drink together in the restaurant. Allen was cleaning the other day and found a picture album of them from when they were kids. Rod likes looking at photo albums and wants to take a look at it, but Allen says it'll be a problem. Rod is bothered that Allen is being stingy, as usual.

You walk over and Rod asks if you heard about Allen's stinginess. Allen wants to change the topic of conversation now that you've arrived, as you seem to be uncomfortable. Rod apologizes and explains that they were talking about a picture of the two of them from when they were small. They were childhood friends because their moms were friends. Even though they lived in different towns, they would go to each other's houses. Even back then, Allen was always pompous, resulting in frequent strife between the two of them. Allen snipes back with the fact that Rod is still a crybaby and hasn't changed.

Rod tells Allen that he has changed, but the tone of the conversation seems to be unpleasant. They are friends but this is how they drink tea together. Rod still thinks of Allen as a good friend, although Allen tries to say otherwise. Rod accuses Allen of being bashful; Allen would always help Rod when he was in trouble. Allen is a good guy!

You seem glad to hear it but your enthusiasm annoys Allen. Rod tells him that it is okay, and the two of you seem to be fine, but Allen is indifferent on the matter. He tells Rod that they'll have to visit together at the restaurant another time and then heads home. Rod starts to run after him but then stops; maybe he was teasing Allen a bit too much.

Camenbert comes over and says that Allen had something for him. He hands over the picture album and then leaves. Rod laughs and says that Allen truly is a good friend.
